Visited the smile clinic today for my visit to the hygienist Katherine Germen who is brilliant at her job and very caring. I also saw the dentist for a check up after which he told me he wanted to take upto six xrays of my gums for a bit of inflammation, I was told that it is four years since my last xrays and that the first two are free with my dental plan. So my question is if it's four years since my last xrays then surely I have a few xrays in the bank, but no it appears I have to pay for the other four which questions why I'm paying on a monthly plan.
The dentist I have is fantastic, from a snivelling wreck when first visiting I go now with confidence. The staff are lovely and very supportive. However the last visit was a little strange and not the normal 5*, equipment issues etc and I did not appreciate my chest being used as a table top for implements! I am sure this is a one off, However my dentist was amazing and great during a 1hr drill out and reformation of an awkward broken tooth.
I was able to book a same day appointment at the last minute. The receptionists were as ever friendly and welcoming. Dentist Phil is simply outstanding in his work and a warm and genuine human being 👏

Had a hygienist appointment with Kate German and I can honestly say she was the most gentle hygienist i have ever had carry out a polish & clean and made me feel very relaxed and calm. The main thing i noticed was the time she took to carry out the treatment. Nice gentle pace instead of rushing and blasting round my mouth with cold water. If you have some sensitive teeth she will turn the water pressure down and just take her time. Really nice person and very pleasant visit, which let's be honest any appointment at the dentist is never something anyone wants to do 😁. Highly recommend Kate German for a dental hygienist.
