Another visit for a checkup yesterday. I can't understand the negative reviews for this place. I had a great experience as always, the ladies on reception were so nice, helpful and friendly. Was a bit surprised to be asked to pay before my treatment but understand why when they told me it's because people had left without paying. I love this place, all the staff are great.

Dental care is superb. But my appointment was cancelled with no notice, and I have been on hold at number one in the phone queue for 15 minutes. Then asked to leave a message. So rang again and am now at number three in the queue. Going away next week, so treatment is needed. Tried again just now and kept on hold again until asked to leave a message.

I have been a patient at this practice for over 50 years. I recently had a tooth break and it was built up, Christmas Eve the built up piece broke off, I called yesterday stating it was not an emergency and they gave me an appointment today 10.30. My goodness while I know some things happen which makes them behind but over half an hour waiting was unacceptable. The lovely young receptionist did try her hardest to keep me updated snd not her fault. I saw an exceptional dentist who has built the tooth up really good. He asks me to sign and it says emergency appointment to which I said no I said it was not an emergency but nothing was changed and charged £75. NOT HAPPY.

I have been at this practice since the age of 5 i am 63 now. My last check up was 2023 at no point since has anyone contacted me for another check up ( which since going private but keeping nhs patients check up was switched to every 2yrs) i presented at the surgery today with a very swollen face and in pain to be told i am no longer a patient !!!! As i havent been in since June 2023 , apparently its SMILES policy to just wipe you off their books without so much as an email, txt or phonecall . The ethos of this company is absolutely disgusting, i was told after the june 2023 appoint i would get recalled but children were being prioritised .I would urge no one to attend this practice the care and compassion is nil , shame on you all and smile as a caring dentist dont waste you time. I went to NUVO dentist immediately after and altho they had no appointments left saw how bad my face was and agreed it couldnt be left and saw me and treated me. I had double tooth infection for which they started me on antibiotics so grateful to NUVO .so take smile doesnt actually care at all .DISGUSTING

Similar to other reviews here, wiped off the books as we'd not booked in for a couple of years, the receptionist seemed rather pleased to tell me. My wife had been going to that location for 54 years, since she had her first milk teeth, and that's how they chose to treat her and us. Horrid.

Very happy with my experience here. I was a bit nervous due to needing a filling. I haven’t had one in years. Everyone from the receptionist through to the Dentist and Nurse were very professional. My Dentist and his nurse were kind and caring. No pain whatsoever. The Dentist also explained about potential future treatment due to findings on my X-ray. Would definitely recommend Nilan as a Dentist and his nurse.

After COVID and change of hands first from the original dentists retirements then Bupa taking over I was pleased to learn that Smile would be keeping all their patients on their books as I was told by letter and receptionist when I rang to ask when they would be seeing patients again and was told that children were first priority then the practice would then see adults. I rang again this week and was told by a receptionist that I was no longer on the list. I found the receptionist to be quite rude and blase in her manner and was informed that they were not responsible for the managements decisions. They did not notify me in writing of this which would have been the professional way of conducting a business.
