Smile Dental Care - Falmouth

I saw a dentist called dr falaknaz and she was just wonderful, so calm and reassuring. She made me fully aware of my situation and did all the work on my next appointment. She was amazing and a credit to the practice, I am lucky to have her as my dentist, a really lovely lady 🙂

I previously had a positive experience here as both an NHS and private patient, but the service over the last four months has become unacceptably poor. In December 2025, I was left waiting in the rain with an elderly couple past the 14:00 post-lunch opening time. When I knocked at 14:02, an older receptionist berated me for interrupting their lunch (I can provide their name if required), dismissed my concern about the weather, and claimed my synchronised phone time was wrong. To further the frustration, my subsequent hygiene appointment couldn't even be finished because the pneumatic tools lost pressure. In 2026, the booking reliability has completely broken down - my NHS checkup has been cancelled three times, most recently with just 90 minutes' notice and no explanation. Despite my follow-up email on the 27th of February, I have received no response or attempt to rebook. I want to note that I believe the clinical staff seem to genuinely care about their work, but I strongly recommend that management invests in modern equipment and comprehensive customer service training.

Terrible place since doctor Austin retired. The one dentist said I need fillings, she then left the business the replacement said no I don't need fillings my teeth are fine, They never answer the phones and I've had my recent appointment cancelled 4 times so far. Also they messed up my teeth using the wrong bit last time I went for what should of been a polish, if only I could afford to go private.

The older receptionist is rude, she has no interest in the patients. She has no understanding of customer service, especially in this environment. I also witnessed her speaking over one patient telling him, no appointments as his dentist had left the practice and no one had replaced him yet (he was clearly in pain after losing half his tooth) he kept trying to explain that he needed it looked at as he was in pain, she didn’t care and barked at him that his dentist has left, might be able to book in a couple of weeks time! You couldn’t make it up.

Worst dentists I have ever used, I've been waiting for an appointment since October and it's now February and they have cancelled my 4th appointment the day before yet afain, 3 wasted days holiday and no doubt another month with a broken tooth before the next cancellation. If I could leave no stars I would. Avoid at all costs if you can!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! What an awful dentist practice. A dangerous building without a working emergency lighting system, antiquated fuse board and an obvious violation of health and safety practices for public safety. This is before you get in the chair!!

The news receptionists at the dental surgery in Falmouth have made a calm and welcoming atmosphere, which is usually a stressful time for most people. It was lovely to see both ladies doing their best to accommodate patients with dental problems. Once again I'd like to say thank you to my Dentist Paul for sorting my problem tooth.
