Absolute stars, nhs dentist told my wife there was nothing wrong with our 6yr old lad, he had been complaining of tooth ache and crying for 48hrs no sleep at all and very distressed after the nhs appointment my mum pointed us in the direction of these guys, they saw him within an hour of making a call, x-ray’d him located a problem and removed a tooth. He’s now at home a little bruised but back to his old self, cannot thank these guys enough and looking forward to a good nights sleep !!!! THANK YOU ( not all hero’s wear capes )

Been using this dentist my whole life and am now 42 years old. I have now decided to switch to a different dentist after some recent issues with my wife’s treatment. Incorrect diagnosis, missing abscess that another dentist found immediately, over priced for work required and generally the customer service is lacking somewhat since Dr Amsel left the business which happened many years ago. Wrote to the practice to let them know about the issues and have still not received a response. They have now lost my business and potentially my whole family’s business. (We have spent a lot of money here over the years)

Apologies for the long story, but it's a worthwhile read.. At 9AM on Sunday 13th March I was due to jump in the car and drive down the M40 to get married after a 2 year COVID induced delay. At 4AM that morning a loud crack at my mouth woke me up, and to my horror I realised my bridge had fallen out and I now had a tooth sized gap in my smile. At 7AM, after 3 rather stressful hours I called the emergency number on Amsel & Wilkins' answering machine which was immediately answered by Nigel. After explaining my emergency, Nigel told me to meet him at 8AM and he'd fix me right up. Nigel opened up the practice just for me, on a Sunday morning, and by 8.45AM I was walking back up Banbury High Street relaxed and stress-free (well as stress-free as you can be before your wedding) with all my teeth in my mouth - rather than in my pocket.. By 4.30PM I was tucking into pork belly and crackling like nothing had happened. A huge thank you to Nigel from me and my new wife for saving my smile on our wedding day, as well as from our photographer who you saved from many, many hours of photoshop. Finally, my bestwoman thanks you for the additional story for her speech, one that received plenty of gasps and laughter. From a very appreciative patient for life.

I have always had a deep-seated phobia of dentists, but my experience with Maddie has completely changed my perspective. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel totally at ease with her kind and reassuring demeanor. Maddie’s expertise and gentle approach have done wonders not just for my dental health but also for my confidence. The work she has done is truly amazing, and I am so grateful for her care. I received fantastic treatment and care today. I was experiencing pain and I couldn't be seen by my usual dentist. When I rang up the receptionist was very friendly and sympathetic. During the appointment I made it clear I have had bad experiences with dental treatment in the past and Nigel was really calming and cheerful and explained everything clearly. My tooth was fixed professionally and I was kept at ease throughout. I would really recommend this dental practice. My day has been made!

Today 6/10/2023 I visited Amsel & Wilkins Dental practice in Banbury. As usual I was greeted warmly and addressed by name by the reception staff. Promptly after my arrival I was invited to the dental treatment room. Today my dentist Piers Neville finished the dental work of all my upper teeth. It included number of crowns and veneers to my front teeth. I could not believe these lovely teeth were mine! So white, beautiful, just perfect! Now I am so very happy, and I smile with great confidence. Piers is my favourite dentist. He is such a good professional and person. As well as being a great professional, Piers is also highly efficient dentist and I always feel at ease with him. I highly recommend Piers Neville if you need high quality teeth work! Dani
