Ruabon Road Dental Practice

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should be aware of my experience. My treatment at Ruabon Road Dental Practice was extremely disappointing. The cost was around £700 for a private root canal treatment, yet the local anaesthetic was ineffective and I was left in significant pain during the procedure. Despite this, the treatment continued, which was an incredibly distressing experience. The composite filling was also completed to a very low standard (confirmed by my NHS dentist). After raising a formal complaint, the practice acknowledged my concerns and confirmed in writing that the remaining balance of £229 would be waived as part of the resolution. To my disbelief, I have this morning received an email chasing me to pay that exact amount. After everything, this is the final straw and has led me to leave this review. The practice obviously don't communicate internally or honour the resolutions it agrees with patients. My clinical experience, the handling of my complaint, and now the contradictory payment demands have left me with no confidence in this practice at all. I genuinely wish I had gone elsewhere. I cannot recommend this practice at all, based on my experience.

Dr. Dan Naylor is absolutely exceptional — I can’t recommend him highly enough! He completely transformed my teeth with Invisalign and gave me my smile, and confidence back. The extremely thorough checks on throat and mouth health are reassuring too and I always leave having gained some valuable advice and support. Very happy with this superb Practice!

I needed some extensive work on my front tooth which I had been putting off for well over 3 years due to anxiety over having an injection in my gum. I was referred to Sam who specialises in Root Canal surgery. Sam explained everything that he was going to do and the costings. When the time came to have my work carried out, Sam gave me a gel that numbs the gum before proceeding with the injection. I've got to admit that I didn't feel a thing to my relief. Sam carried out the first part of my procedure and I returned a few weeks later for my second and final visit. Both times, Sam and his Dental Nurse were exemplary in what they do day to day. I highly recommend that if you need any specialist work carrying out, then Ruabon Road Dental Practice is the place to go.

Always receive an excellent service from all staff. Also find out useful that I get a notification for my appointments a couple of days before so I don't forget.
