One Dental Care - Troon

I’ve had a good experience with the actual services in the past but the demeanour of the receptionist on the phone is really unpleasant. I’m a privately registered patient and yet you can’t get me in for a simple clean and polish for the next 45 days - the way I was just spoken to on the phone was beyond derogatory when all I’m trying to do is book an appointment. Be more pleasant to talk to.

Dentists and nurses are lovely, have a good bedside manner and helpful at reassuring. Appointment can be given quickly. Dentists are young and inexperienced. I became anxious and weary when the dentist didn't notice I'd had my wisdom teeth out and couldn't tell the difference. Also went about my tooth and would have been sent home being told it was just my gum if I hadn't had the courage to push her on it. It was an bad experience overall.

This isn't my dentists, but I came along for my granddaughter's appointment. The young dentist, I'm not sure of his name, was tremendous in his approach to a young girl, who beforehand was pretty scared to attend. The dentist was very calm & reassuring towards her, as was his dental nurse too. My granddaughter was calm & did whatever she was told by the dentist & that was completely due to his professionalism & very caring attitude. He constantly advised not only my granddaughter but my daughter-in-law & myself too of everything he was about to do & he did so with such a lovely disposition & knowledgeable attitude. What an asset to this surgery.

Terrible experience. I left with a root still intact in my mouth, face dotted with blood splatters (they allowed me to leave the practice with blood all over my face) and overall I would not recommend this practice.

Terrific practice: Dr James Murray is the best dentist I've ever known. Not only is he a most accomplished practitioner, able to instil confidence and trust, he also manages to entertain his patients with details of his young and growing family. I'm so grateful for the regular treatment I receive at this friendly practice: the nurses are great as well.

Terrible service. I went with 3 issues, 1 -small crack on tooth, 2- tooth that needed a filling redone and 3 - hoping to have my issue with overlap of 1 tooth addressed which was sensitive and painful. 1st visit, cracked tooth was covered with a very fine/transparent type seal, it didn't feel like a very strong option and only a day later it didn't feel like it had worked as I could still feel the crack on my tooth and it was cutting the side of my tounge 2- Tooth was filled but very badly, it was jagged and cutting the inside of my cheek. I rang, explained and had another appointment made. She addressed my issues and agreed!!!!!!! only to do again as she had previously... whf!!!! A few days later I had the same issues again I did not rebook an appointment but went elsewhere. As for my overlapping tooth I was told to just get an electronic toothbrush and put on sensitive setting (my tooth is overlapping and cutting through my lower gum)..WHF!! The ladies on reception and assistants were lovely but unfortunately the dentist herself was terrible on 1st meeting her I had high hopes and thought this lady seems very competent but she certainly did not deliver

Very pleased to join this dentist. Had a bad experience at my previous dentist, but Dr Blair Cunningham was calm, professional and reassuring. The administration staff are great too.
