Hygeia Dental Care

I've never been to this Dentist before but the reviews are second to none.l really don't know if anyone can help me but lm desperately in need of some teeth on top,only four teeth left remaining because of a fear lve had all my life,lm 72years young with very little savings but so desperately in need of help and will give whatever l have.lm praying in the hope that some kind soul will help me get my confidence back and not have to wear a mask or cover my mouth up in public.Thankyou to anyone who finds the time to to read this,so very greatfull thankyou.Joyce Hennequin,Paignton.

I never thought I'd say such positive things about visiting a dentist, but I really do love going to Hygeia. I sometimes feel like I'm in a luxury spa for my teeth rather than a dentist! The staff are so incredibly welcoming, they make you a coffee when you arrive if you want, and everyone remembers who you are. The quality of the dental care is also phenomenal. I have had some issues with my gums, and the amount of care and attention the team are putting into supporting this just blows me away. I have had experiences with dentists in the past of feeling shamed, but that is so far from what it's like at Hygeia. It's probably weird to say I look forward to going to the dentist, but I really do. Also I really hardly ever write google reviews, but the fact that I felt moved to for Hygeia is a testament to their amazing customer service, extremely high quality dental care, and the fact that they have taken a service that is generally pretty unpleasant and made me feel safe, supported and cared for.

Just wanted to say how happy my wife and i are finding Hygeia. The quality of the dentistry is the best we have ever experienced, and the communication and service from reception is superb - and makes a massive difference. We would highly recommend Hygeia.

I have been using this service recently and I am really impressed. Firstly, there is parking, which is rare for any dentist in Totnes! It's a tiny practice, just 1 dentist and 1 hygienist. The dentist is the kindest woman I have ever met. She's super thorough and is really gentle. I explained to the hygienist that I hadn't done this process in a long time and so I asked she talk me through what's happening as we go and she was excellent at doing this. It made me feel very reassured. It's mighty expensive, but I don't think that is exclusive to this practice, I think generally dental work is really expensive everywhere! Also the receptionist is super lovely and majorly organised, I feel very safe in her hands knowing she's on top of everything.

After six decades of being terrified of going to a dentist at last I have found the most caring dentist in Jo. Her team are warm, caring, efficient and from day 1, they all have made what used to be a dreaded event, dare I say to now a pleasant experience! Yes, I now look forward to going to the dentist. Jo is clearly a first class professional who takes her time to explain the necessary procedures and has wonderful interpersonal skills which has put me at ease throughout. If you are nervous of going to a dentist, worry no more and go to Hygeia.

Friendly atmosphere, everyone makes you feel relaxed and that's not easy when you go to the dentist! Jo, Debbie and Louise are all very professional but at the same time make you feel more than just a client They even check you after you've had any work done by phoning the next day..They show an interest in you as a person. If you need a dentist this is the best place to go.

I am convinced there is no better dental practice in the South West! My children and myself have been attending Hygeia Dental Care - since the last century! Both children reached adulthood with great teeth. Hygeia is a great practice on many levels a) The whole team are consummate professionals and highly adept in their roles. Yet there is an air of sensitivity and kindness in the practice, such that patients feel relaxed and cared for. b) Dr Giddy is very skilled and has the best kit. I love her camera, it shows me what needs to be done and my lovely teeth afterwards. Best of all, I am a nervous patient but Dr Giddy takes heed of all my eccentricities and I trust her to take care of my teeth and appreciate her thoughtful advice.
