📍 Invisalign dentists in Plymouth
Quay Dental Care in Plymouth offers a mix of experiences, with some patients praising the quality of dental treatment and others expressing concerns about service reliability. The practice has been serving the community for decades, with a notable long-standing patient base. However, recent changes in ownership and staff have led to varied feedback regarding appointment management and communication.
While some patients report positive interactions with specific dentists and cost-effective treatments, others have encountered issues with reception responsiveness and outdated facilities. The practice is recommended for its dental care standards, but potential patients should be aware of inconsistencies in service quality and consider scheduling appointments well in advance.

Customer Reviews
Quay Dental Care has a rating of 2.1 out of 5 based on over 24 reviews on Google
Reception staff are non existent, can not be bothered to answer the phone let alone your queries, you’ll be lucky if they haven’t turned there phones off by 4pm. They ignore all emails I have about 5 or 6 I have in my emails they’ve completely disregarded and refuse to even look at. Even tho it’s making the dentists money they aren’t setting up appointments. One receptionist didn’t even know what a denplan was, went to find out and didn’t get back to me. Been waiting over a year for a wisdom extraction after having a scan and they won’t look into that for me as all they do is put the phone down and huff on the phone like they’ve got to do some work. You walk in there and there all just bundles together talking, I’ve been waiting 2 minutes before you check in whilst they talk about there sad little lives and completely ignore me until they finish. Place has gone downhill drastically. Can’t believe it as been going here for years and now looking else where to go as had enough! Do not go here it’s a complete disappointment really is a shame.
Been using this practice for 40 years, mostly on Denplan.Todays the 1st time I thought I'd look up the reviews to check out if it was just me who was thinking this once very good practice had gone down hill since the new owners moved in.....turns out I'm not.Changing of staff rife, treatment received not up to standard, practice equipment outdated (an item used on me recently showed signs of rust) decor has looked tired for too long. Not surprised that some patients are saying they have/intend taking there thoughts higher/further.I no longer recommended this place to people, on the contrary.
This practice was recommended by relatives who have used this practice for years. I joined last year and have used this dentist to this review (18 months), and will continue to. I do not use a dental plan but l am a private patient. No problems with the dental care or arranging appointments. In comparing with other dental practices; Booking an appointment took 3 weeks (it would have been sooner but for my work shifts. Under the NHS under another practice it was 6 to 8 weeks. This year lmy check up and hygienist appointment was on the same day instead of arranging separate appointments. When l had treatment last year l paid less than was quoted. At another private practice similar treatment was 3 times as expensive. The health promotion advice was thorough as were the treatment options. The advantages and disadvantages of each treatment was explained in order to enable me to make my own decisions. I experienced very little discomfort including from the hygienist treatment. The only downside appears to be a lack of out of hours appointments. The practice does need decorating though the walls have been done since last year.
Would not recommend at all. Poor communication from the practice and when issues are raised the team are so very unsupportive. I was made extremely ill from a teeth whitening gel and called the practice regarding this to be told they would speak to the dentist and call back which never happened. Also turned up to the practice for a check up to be told that my appointment was cancelled with no prior notice so I’d then wasted time that had to be taken off work to attend.
Exactly same as last review. Used to be a brilliant dental practice. Now it's dreadful. Paying Denplan for nothing. So disappointed and if we can find another practice we will. Cannot believe how they remain in business. Started going to new male dentist in front room. He is excellent, really hope he stays as I am very happy to be seen and treated by him.
I have been at this dental address for 35yrs. I pay Denplan £22 a month. In the last 4yrs they have cancelled every appointment I have ever booked with dentist and hygenist. On my plan I am entitled to 3 checks with both dentist and hygenist a year. Today they have cancelled on me again. An appointment I had to book six months ago. Basically have paid £1000 for one check up. Disgusting. Have cancelled my plan today, but was told I had to pay next month as needed to give 3 weeks notice...sod off!
The work that the team was done on my mouth has been fantastic. My Teeth felt a lot better and management of my teeth has been great. I am a Nervous patient, scared of dentists and tend to freeze up. It’s irrational,I know, but I put off looking after my teeth due to it. The reception and dentist team have been super friendly and understanding. Putting me at ease. I used to bounce from surgery to surgery as I didn’t feel comfortable returning to old practices due to fear of judgement of my teeth’s condition. The kindness here however has made me stay put. Only reason this isn’t a 5 star is I didn’t find the same understanding with the hygienist. I’m not asking to be coddled but I felt quite patronised and judge at the time. I cannot fault their advice but having expressed my nervousness I was hoping for an experience and advice that came across as an action plan that pointed out what I needed to do to improve and what areas I was lacking in (as it had been with my dentist) rather then chastising whilst I was stuck in the chair unable to leave.
