Sherwood Dental Care

My dentist is Mayur Patel. He has done a lot of work on my teeth over the last 10 years. Various fillings and crowns which are all still in place. He is very personable and always talks me through the options available. He has a very pleasant manner, and I feel well cared for.

Such a lovely practice! Made to feel welcome & at ease by everyone. My dentist is just SO lovely. She explains everything & talks through options for possible future treatment. Much appreciated.

Been going here for a few years now as a private patient, I see Katie and shes been brillant with me. I had a single implant last year and I was terrified, but she put me at ease and it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. I always recommend if anyone asks. All the staff are so nice, I moved here after Nottingham oral health centre changed all the staff and im glad I did!! 😊

after a couple of years absent and not seeing the dentist I ended up needing a tooth extraction and the staff at reception went above and beyond to get me in for a check up and x-rays ASAP. I thought it was a lovely touch that the staff keep in touch and check on you after you’ve had your operation. I highly recommend this dental practice and a big thank you to Katie who is my dentist that did the operation, For she made me feel very safe and reassured that everything was gonna be alright and did an absolute excellent job. Been going here past few years. Always polite and welcoming. My dentist is lovely and gives great advice My dental hygienist nurse is the best I have ever had. Does a great job and never hurts me. Fantastic dental practice and would highly recommend

Edit: got second opinion who prescribed antibiotics that wouldn’t make me sick. Would love a refund if they want the antibiotics back that make me sick. Also note that the response didn’t comment on the incompetence of their dentist. In short dentist exaggerated non-existent symptoms to prescribe medication that made me sick after I said it made me sick. Went for wisdom tooth pain. Dentist claimed face was swollen - triple checked with myself and others and it was not. Also was told my lymph nodes were swollen, I work in the medical team and checked myself and had drs also check - they were not swollen. Tooth was tender and sore but signs I was told I had were an exaggeration for them to charge £104 for a 30 second assessment (no x-ray despite included in price), a prescription and antibiotics. I know it’s private but what are we doing throwing antibiotics at people. I’m a prescriber and went to the dentist due to needing to leave work, antibiotics resistance is getting worse and they shouldn’t be prescribed quite so easily. Healthcare shouldn’t be used for profit, this was a disappointing experience for me. I don’t like confrontation so I was pushed into being prescribed a medication that also makes me sick - and I did say that to the dentist twice.

I called first thing Monday morning and was booked in as a private emergency appointment yesterday afternoon. As a highly nervous paitent in alot of pain, I didn't know what to expect but came out so happy. I can't thank Mayur enough for how he looked after me. Fantastic Dental practice and those who are registered with them on the NHS are very lucky.
