Desford Dental Care

Recently had a replacement filling with Dr Bhavisha Patel having recently been transferred to her care and she was absolutely fabulous! She was very thorough explaining the whole procedure and potential pitfalls, she was very gentle and exceptionally patient I didn’t feel a thing, I’ve told her she’s not allowed to go off on Maternity Leave too soon ☺️

Whilst on holiday in Germany, one of my teeth broke whilst using my electric toothbrush. After a couple of days this became quite painful. It was controlled to an extent with painkillers. On my return home the surgery gave an immediate urgent appointment; itself a great relief. The remains of the tooth were extracted and many thanks to Dr Sonam Thakkar for her sympathetic and professional treatment.

I have been with this practice for many years and always had excellent service and advice from Hanish. Yesterday 3rd March was as always 5 star. A very kind and considerate dentist, fully supported by his lovely assistant and receptionists. xx

Desford Dental Care is a great example of NHS dental care and private options which I have used over many years. My last visit this week was for an urgent dental issue. Many thanks to Dentist Dixi, who treated the problem and gave informed and clear advice moving forward.

After having experienced lifelong mediocre service from previous NHS dentists, I was completely flabbergasted by the professional and empathic treatment that I received yesterday during my first appointment at this lovely establishment. I learned more about my teeth and gums in that one visit than ever before in my entire life. I was so impressed by the care and attention to detail from Miss Thakkar and her assistant and the advice that I received. I don't even think that a private practice would provide as good an experience as Desford Dental Care. And no, I haven't been paid to write this!

Sonam is a wonderful dentist—so pleasant and brilliant with my two young children. She makes them feel completely at ease, and they actually enjoy going to the dentist. I can’t recommend Desford Dental Care highly enough.

I have used the practice for many years and always found them ok, staff were pleasant but found myself being passed from one trainee dentist to the next. This did not make for a satisfied patient. Then I met Sonam, right from the start she was the very epitome of a professional and caring dentist, she asked questions others hadn’t and made suggestions to improve my dental care. I still see her to this day and would describe her as amazing and would highly recommend you check the practice out.
