Westwood Dental Practice

Westwood Dental Practice was a very disappointing experience. I changed from my previous dentist of five years because it was too far from my home, but registering here turned out to be a mistake. I emailed them three days before my appointment to correct my name and to cancel because I was out of the country. The email did not bounce back, so I believed it had gone through. Later, when I booked again, the receptionist told me the email on the website was not working. I then gave my correct details in writing, and no one mentioned any cancellation charge. A few weeks later, I started receiving letters demanding payment for a missed appointment. I explained the situation, but they kept insisting. After that, they deregistered me and even told NHS Scotland that I had not paid for treatment carried out, which is completely false because no treatment was ever provided. Very poor experience overall. The staff were rude, pushy, and seemed more interested in money than patient care.

Every time my self and my family go to this dentist we get spoken to very rudely, and made to feel like we’re a burden. I have it another chance and the attitude is terrible from dentist. I’ll be looking to change dentist as it was a good dentist before it changed

All the staff are friendly and welcoming. My dental care was explained to me and costs were made clear. My actual treatment was painless. The dentist was very reassuring and put my mind at ease. Would highly recommend this dental practice. Don’t be afraid to go to the dentist, they are here to help you.

Just had two fillings from here and they were great! My dentist let me know what she was going to do next so I knew what to expect. She was very friendly and understanding, as were all the staff working there!

Excellent team can't thank them enough for today manage to squeeze me in at short notice to deal with a sore one, I really appreciate it and sorry I didn't say at the time I hadn't slept lol

Oh my goodness sooo pleased for my teeeth whitened. What a difference and only in 14 days. I can now smile with confidence and not try to cover my mouth when photos are taken 😊😊

First visit. Highly anxious and phobic, even just making the call. Found the receptionist friendly and understanding. Appointment given for next day. Sophie (dental nurse) and Matt (B.D.S) we're very patient and understanding. Matt calmed my nerves so much I only needed one relaxtion/distraction technique instead of the usual 4! Huge deal for me. He explained each time before doing anything, and reassured me the whole time. After consultation he explained the course of treatment, options, and suggestions clearly and reassuringly. This is a brilliant team. I'm glad I went. Round 2 next.
