Dover Priory Dental Practice

I’ve been struggling with severe dental pain for a couple of weeks and finally came to this practice for help. From my first contact, the team were kind, patient, and genuinely reassuring. Chloe on reception has been wonderful — always calm and friendly, and she took the time to explain everything clearly. She made me feel supported before I even arrived. Today I had the first stage of a root canal with Dorothy, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care. She was gentle, attentive, and checked on me throughout the entire procedure. Even though I was nervous, she made me feel safe and well looked after. I’m relieved to finally be on the road to recovery, and I’m truly grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown by Dorothy and the team here. I would happily recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dental team who really care about their patients.

I cannot recommend Dover Priory Dental Practice highly enough. Dorothy and her team are always so welcoming, friendly and professional, and they genuinely remember their patients, which makes every visit feel personal and reassuring. She is especially wonderful with children, particularly nervous patients. She has such a calm, approachable manner and always puts people at ease straight away. She takes the time to talk things through and creates a relaxed atmosphere that really helps build confidence. A fantastic practice with a caring team.

I had a hygienist appointment today at Dover Priory Dental and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Kirsty and Jess were both amazing – so friendly and reassuring, especially as I’m always a bit of a nervous wreck at these appointments (convinced I’m going to choke every time 😂). Kirsty explained everything she was doing step by step and gave really helpful advice on how to look after my teeth and prevent gum disease – including using those little interdental brushes properly, which I’ll definitely stick to now! The whole atmosphere there is calm and relaxing, which really helps if you’re a bit anxious like me. I also have to mention my dentist Michael, who is fantastic – very professional, thorough, and just really good at what he does. You feel like you’re in safe hands. And Jodie, his assistant, is absolutely lovely too and makes you feel at ease straight away. A big thank you as well to the receptionist, who is always so welcoming and professional. She’s really helpful when it comes to booking appointments and always does her best to find times that work for you, which makes the whole experience even smoother. A genuinely great team – highly recommend!

I have been attending this dental practice for quite some time and consistently receive excellent care. Theo is a highly skilled and reassuring clinician as well as Katie his nurse. Chloe on reception is exceptional—always warm, welcoming, and attentive. As someone who experiences significant anxiety when visiting the dentist, I truly appreciate the supportive and understanding environment they create. The service and treatment provided are of the highest standard, and I would highly recommend this practice to others.

I feel very relaxed going to the Dental surgery. Mike has been fantastic and really puts me at ease. A warm, friendly atmosphere and pain free treatment. Chloe the receptionist is always very cheery and welcoming. I appreciate the way they ring you up after an extraction to check how you are doing but there's never been a problem there. Theo has been working on my husband and he has been equally professional and encouraging.

Having spent several years without dental care, I am so glad that this is the practice I came to for help. To begin with I was quite nervous about the whole thing, but the team here is so incredibly helpful and supportive. Chloe at reception is warm and welcoming getting the experience off to a relaxed and calming start. Sharon's genuine care for her patients ensures that I make the most of my hygienist appointments, including helpful tips for improving my dental care at home. Dr Theo has been marvellous at explaining the treatment I am having and is always happy to answer any questions I might have as well as making sure that I am comfortable whilst the work is carried out. Following previous unpleasant experiences as a youngster the care and empathy shown by the wonderful team here make it really easy to recommend them.

Never been a big fan of having to visit the dentist, but Dorothy and her team have made it a different experience and are friendly and professional. Having recently had a tooth extraction, Dorothy was very patient and clearly explained what was going to happen and took everything at my pace, which helped me deal with the process better. I have also signed up to 'The Dotty about Smiles Plan' so I can now continue to have regular check ups/ hygienist appointments without worrying about the cost. I can also recommend hygienist Sharon, who was very understanding and helped to give alternative solutions for easier flossing. Thank you Dorothy and team.
