I’ve been seeing John at Derwent Street Dental Practice in Belper for many years now, and I honestly couldn’t recommend him highly enough. After years of being absolutely terrified of the dentist, I really struggled with even booking appointments. John has completely restored my faith. He’s the only dentist I feel truly comfortable seeing. He is incredibly caring, patient and understanding. Even when I feel anxious, he always takes the time to put me at ease and make sure I feel safe and comfortable. That makes such a difference. He’s also extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I completely trust him with my teeth. I genuinely couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. If you’re nervous about dental treatment, John is fantastic. I’m so grateful I found him.
The hygienist Louise and her nurse, Emma were amazing and worked together as a team better than any team I have ever come across. Emma was so focused on her work it was remarkable. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was her first day since she had completed her training. What a team!
I'm full of praise and huge thanks for my Dentist Richard Reed following a tooth extraction today .... Richard explained the procedure to me first and worked hard with patience, true care and dedication as my tooth was initially determined to stay put! I was really well looked after, advised on after care and feel good - thanks so much Richard!

Excellent experience. First registration appointment was thorough, with clear communication throughout. Managed my ‘dental patient nerves’ with sensitivity, and put me at my ease. Would definitely recommend. Edit: Follow up appointment now completed. Restoration of two front teeth via composite bonding. Excellent quality, indistinguishable from my natural teeth (including colour matching). Highly recommended.
