The Mount Dental Practice - Hemsworth

Its not my usual dental practice but I just had my wisdom tooth removed there. Not a pleasant experience. Arrogant dentist, no antibiotics prescribed so I suffer with infection now and had to see my dentist whose reaction to my infected gum was clearly showing that it is bad! also gum badly stitched to my cheek(!!!) and cut in every direction! probably completely unnecessary. I feel like it could have been done a lot better. If it takes40 min to remove a tooth, cutting trough the gum and stitched its a small chance that this type of wound wont get infected. so WHY no antibiotics? only made me suffer for longer and the wound not heal.

Tuesday 14th April 0930 Refused treatment after arriving 7 minutes late for a routine check-up due to traffic and told to rebook. This level of rigidity is difficult to justify, particularly given that I have previously experienced delays at this practice without any acknowledgement or adjustment. The handling of the situation was also lacking in professionalism and discretion. Overall, an inflexible and poorly managed service.

Arrived this morning for a surgical extraction is a rear molar that had cracked. I’m not good with dentists to start with having had a very bad traumatic and long experience with a different practice and I was terrified. The dental surgeon (Eddie) and his nurse did their best to put me at ease and I was absolutely shocked and surprised at how quick and painless the whole procedure was. I was given after care advice and I was out in ten minutes. I could have hugged the pair of them. Absolutely blown away with the whole experience. Thank you.

Went to The Mount Dental Practice today and they were brilliant the nurse was very friendly and caring the dentist Hassan was fantastic so calming and pleasant ive had awful experiences with other dentists but today was brilliant so calming and being relaxed I had a tooth extracted

After reading the reviews prior to my appointment, especially being a 111 patient, I was worried! When I arrived I was greeted with a pleasant, helpful receptionist. I went to my appointment and the dentist was lovely and professional. She explained what she was doing and, despite what some have said, they do offer anaesthetic. The work she did is spot on and even though my mouth is a cesspit, she wasn't rude or snide. If I ever have to have treatment there again I'll by happy to attend. Thank you!!

the dental nurse that assisted my treatment was lovely, reassuring and calming. i am an extremely nervous patient due to previous bad experiences and this practice was not a good fit for someone like me. if you have any dental/medical anxiety, are not good with procedures etc I wouldn’t recommend this practice. i was in extreme distress during the treatment and was visibly struggling and received no help other than being told to "stop" doing that. I want to reiterate that the dental nurse was lovely, and did ask if i was okay. but the oral surgeon showed a lack of compassion that is truly worrisome for someone in that line of work. i left crying and in pain, which has never happened before at ANy appointment of mine.

Having visited the Mount Group Practice at Hemsworth today, I would like to say how very gentle and understanding my dentist Maria was. Having had 2 Fillings, (1 large and 1 small) without any local anaesthetic, and a scale and polish, I hardly felt a thing. Thank you Maria
