Really disappointed, as the dentist herself was excellent. I had a check-up and filling with a dentist here who was genuinely lovely – friendly, reassuring and very accommodating. I would have happily stayed with her long-term. However, the cost of treatment is so high that it’s made that difficult. The filling alone was expensive enough that I had to wait two months before I could afford the next step. The next step was a £210 one-hour hygiene appointment. I explained I wasn’t comfortable with someone working on my teeth for that length of time and asked to split it. While they agreed, the plan became one 30-minute appointment just for charting and another for cleaning, which didn’t feel practical or patient-focused. More broadly, I found the pricing on the website not reflective of the actual cost of dental treatments. It’s frustrating to find a great dentist but feel priced out of staying with them, and now I’m in the position of potentially having to start again elsewhere and pay for another initial appointment. Overall, great clinical care from the dentist, but the costs and rigid approach to follow-on treatment make it hard to recommend.

Shannon and Katie are incredible! I had my first hygienist appointment after 6 years of not going to the dentist and was extremely nervous, both listened and were comforting. They both explained what was going on and ensured that I knew we could stop if needed, the great experience didn’t stop at the treatment- they showed me how to brush properly and use easy picks, something I hadn’t been doing well prior to this. If you’re looking for your sign to book a direct access hygienist appointment then this is it! Affordable and great service!

From the second you walk into the building you’re welcomed by a lovely receptionist, you then go into the waiting room which was nice a comfortable. Shortly after you are then taken to the treatment room where I met 2 lovely dentists that made my whole experience a lot more pleasant as I was soo nervous before I went in but they done the x-ray, numbed everything and proceeded with the extraction all done within the space of 15mins. Definitely recommend this place the prices are really good and the care that the team treat their patients with is amazing. Thanks to everyone at Plymouth Dental Centre Of Excellence for a very pleasant experience today.

I’ve been a patient here for two years now, and my recent appointment with dental nurse Laurie and hygienist Siân served as a wonderful reminder of why I keep returning. From the moment I walked in, Laurie made me feel completely at ease — warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It’s rare to meet someone in a clinical setting who makes you feel so comfortable so quickly, but that’s exactly the kind of person she is. Siân was equally fantastic. Professional and thorough, yet with a gentle, caring manner that effortlessly relaxed any nerves I had. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole experience entirely stress-free. Both Laurie and Siân are a real credit to their profession — not just because of their skill and expertise, but because of the warmth and humanity they bring to every interaction. I left feeling genuinely well cared for, which is exactly what you’d want from a dental appointment. Thank you both — you’re brilliant at what you do.
