Summertown Dental and Implants

As dental practices go, this is OK. The recently introduced prepayment policy I think is over the top. This week I was effectively charged twice, having to pay ahead for my next appointment in 5 months time. I think a deposit system e.g 25% would be fairer. My hygienist, Laila, is excellent and gives good advice as well as a professional service.

I was very pleased with the care I received whilst having dental implants over the course of several months. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dr Dhami was very skilled and I particularly liked the fact that he explained every step along the way and always answered my questions straightforwardly. The dental nurses were kind and patient. I knew the total cost from the outset and there were no hidden additions. Thank you.

Great experience at the practice. Laila was excellent with my hygiene and gum treatment—very thorough, gentle, and explained everything clearly. My gums felt much better afterwards. Her nurse Hafsa was also attentive and supportive. Shalini also did a great job re-cementing my crown. She was efficient, professional, and made sure everything was comfortable before I left.

The staff were all very nice, the receptionist, Gay, was exceptionally helpful when trying to book in for a filling. She saw the dentist hadn't put any information about it down yet and immediately sent a message so that I could book in later. I'm a nervous patient and while the dentist did recommend getting filling done, for a tooth that is just showing decay signs, she also didn't push me, she told me that she would recommend it before it gets worse, but it is my choice. If I want to get them done before my 6 month check up, I'd have to have another check up first, but I didn't feel pressured.

Just had my 3 monthly visit to the Hygienist at Summertown Dental and Implants. Laila was very efficient, cheerful and competent. No nagging, just honest evaluation and advice. So thank you to Laila (and her assistant) for looking after my teeth clearly better than I do.

I cannot praise my hygienist Laila enough! She is incredibly friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, which instantly puts you at ease. Most importantly, she truly has magical hands — I genuinely didn’t feel any pain at all, which is something I’ve never experienced before in my previous visits. She takes the time to explain everything clearly, works with great care and precision, and makes the whole appointment feel relaxed and comfortable. Her attention to detail and genuine care for patients really set her apart. I sincerely hope she stays at this practice for a long time, as she is an absolute asset. Sadly, this practice seems to lose hygienists quite quickly, and it would be such a loss if she ever left. Thank you for such an outstanding service — this was easily one of the best dental hygiene experiences I’ve ever had. I always go and see Laila as my hygienist and can’t recommend her enough. She is very good at her job and has great empathy for her clients and their needs. She suggests latest methods but is flexible to use what suits best to a client.
