Oakthorpe Dental

I have been a patient at Oakthorpe Dental Clinic for close to three years now and have wholeheartedly recommended it to family and friends. Just this week Siddhartha noted a problem presented by a relative on his first visit, which had hitherto been been overlooked. That, and my own positive experience at the clinic today, have prompted me to write this long-intended review. I have never felt in such good hands at any dental clinic. Every aspect of the treatment is explained and discussed, and the atmosphere is invariably kindly and welcoming. Most highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Oakthorpe Dental enough. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere and approach is incredibly calming. The clinical care is top-tier. They take the time to explain every procedur perfectly and also offering very good guidance for dental care at home. I felt I was in very expert hands throughout my visit. Every staff member,from the receptionists to the dentists, to Hygienist is professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and informed. From my experience, It is rare to find a practice that balances high-end professional skill with such a personal, friendly touch.

I attended for a hygiene appointment recently. During the treatment, I mentioned that I was feeling anxious. I appreciate that hygiene procedures are routine for clinicians, however dental anxiety is common and I was surprised by the lack of reassurance at the time. After the appointment, all areas settled well except for one specific tooth, which continued bleeding when brushing and showed a visible dark line along the gum margin. I contacted the practice promptly to raise this concern. I was advised that this was "completely normal" and that my options were either to wait three months for my routine check-up or to pay £50 to see a dentist sooner. Given that the issue was localised and directly related to the recent hygiene visit, I would have expected a brief review without additional charge to ensure the treatment had been fully completed. I have therefore chosen to seek a second opinion elsewhere. Update: I sought a second opinion at another dental practice. Residual build-up was identified along the gum line of the tooth I had raised concerns about and removed within minutes. The bleeding has since resolved, confirming that the concern I raised at the time was genuine!

I took my mother her to mend a tooth broken in a fall. She has Alzheimer's and is easily confused. The team, all of them, were absolutely wonderful - they got it, they were kind and patient, and her front tooth looks immaculate. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Many thanks.

I took my disabled dad for an emergency extraction today. Kaylee on reception was so helpful and kind to dad. Siddhika the dentist was also wonderful with dad, gentle with her treatment and clear with communication of the problem and solution. Could not recommend highly enough!

I had a hygienist appointment with Emma and she was absolutely brilliant - caring and professional. The practice itself is well-maintained. Definitely five stars!

What a great dental practice Oakthorpe is.....right from the get go they have been amazing.....the reception team are knowledgeable and make booking very simply for myself , husband and children, my dentist Seetal is outstanding, her work is brilliant I'm so grateful to have found her, she is very soft and gentle when doing treatment which is great when you have a dental phobia.
