KY1 Dental Studio

Obviously been very busy with registering so many people and the team coped well during that process. People need to realise the pressure there would be on a new dental practice. My dentist was Omar and I am very happy with every aspect of my treatment. He did not complete my dental care until I was 100% happy. I'm glad I trusted his advice, he was correct with every suggestion. Best wishes to all the team!!

Poor quality of service. Ignored by both reception staff when attending the practice and trying to enquire/check in at reception (no phones were ringing and there was no queue), despite both of them seeing me and obviously noting I was waiting. It took a male dentist walking past prompting the receptionist to acknowledge me. Felt discriminated and dismissed the minute I walked in because of receptionists. Unfortunately they don’t do justice to the practice opened by the caring and respectful dentist. Unfortunately it takes a dental degree to show respect, equality and human decency. Will be looking for a different dental practice.

Absolutely shocking experience at the practice today. I have had toothache since Sunday and find it difficult to eat, so took today (Thursday) off work to hopefully see a dentist and ease my toothache. I phoned at 9am opening time but ended up having to go down to the practice as no one would answer the phone and the answer machine says the practice is closed 🤷‍♂️ only to be told they couldn’t see me at any time today. I got told to call 111, they don’t do dental appointments, it’s Fife Dental Care you phone for dental appointments but because I was registered with KY they couldn’t give me an appointment at another dentist!!! They themselves phoned KY on 3 separate occasions as it’s the dentals practice duty to see a registered patient that day, I eventually got a call back from the receptionist at 3.30pm offering me an appointment for the following afternoon (Friday) absolutely useless, de-registered this afternoon and now with another dentist. I hope no one else finds themselves in this position or worse and needing to see a dentist on a same day appointment………it’s not happening here!!!

I can’t thank the staff and dentist enough for getting me fixed up before going on holiday next week. I had woken a couple of days ago with minor tooth pain which then escalated into major pain over the next few days. Because I was due to fly out on holiday the following week, I wanted to get this seen to as it would have been impossible to suffer this level of pain and enjoy the holiday. I went to KY Dental at 9:10 this morning and registered with them. I explained my situation and was given an appointment same day. The dentist done an x-ray and after speaking to me agreed to do an extraction there and then. I’m now going to be able to go on holiday without pain!! Again, I cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone!

It’s extremely difficult to get through by phone, anyone needing an urgent appointment is expected to leave a message, which is very poor service. Even when an appointment is arranged, the waiting times are far too long and gets very frustrating. I understand it’ll be busy , but receptionists are suppose to answer calls and take appointments over the phone which is lacking as seems short staffed .

I can only thank these people for first class dentistry. I am terrified of dentist always have been but the care and attention I received today was amazing .. I never felt a thing, Many many thanks
