Currently having private treatment at Portman smile clinic, could not thank the team enough very attentive and supportive. Always accommodating to my needs. Practice is very clean and hygienic, definitely would recommend. All staff members are polite and helpful, lovely atmosphere to be in and most of all very gentle when completing treatments.

My daughter is an extremely nervous patient and once I explained this to Zara, the Practice Manager, she really went above and beyond to support and help her. We cannot recommend this practice enough. All the staff are really lovely and friendly. Thank you for all your help so far.

I am very disappointed in the service here. I have been calling consistently with the same inquiry, I’m always being told we’ll look into it or we’ll have it sent to you in a few and that never happens. I have been following up for 3 months now and it’s ridiculous now. Not to mention reception rarely answers the phone. Furthermore, it is very hard to get an appointment hence now forcing me to stay with braces for a longer period since there is no progress.

I've felt forced to leave one star as at least the orthodontist who saw my daughter was pleasant and professional enough. I am going private as my daughters mother passed away and the estate is able to cover the private costs. The orthodontist said that a price for the various options would be sent to me, this was affirmed at reception upon leaving the surgery after the consultaion on 10th Oct. I have subsequently called them three times, leaving messages twice (they don't actually answer the phone it seems) and emailed twice and have heard absolutely nothing back. £55 for a 10 minute consultation and then just nothing. I am sure this is not the case for everyone but its happening with me and I am disgusted. I will be adreesing the Care Quality Commission as well as trading standards. I cannot believe I am here with this. I wish you all better luck. Following on from this, I was contacted by Zara who explained in full why things had gone as they did and seemed genuinely sorry. I was satisfied that she was doing ehat she could and agreed to go back for follow ups for my daughter. We did arrive late for that but there was no fuss and they still saw my daughter. We will progress and hope they do a wonderful job on my daughters teeth

Just can't say any better. Here's the story: while on holiday in Kent from Italy, my 12yo daughter had her fixed braces displaced on a Friday morning, hurting her pretty badly. I called no less than 5 different dentist in several towns, finding no availability despite everyone being polite, indeed. Last try, Portman in Canterbury, as it was a bit further away from where we were. They understood the urgency and were able to find a slot for her the very same day. They advised me of the estimated cost over the phone (very reasonable). Doc. Sarah E. visited her with kindness and competence, fixing the braces in no time, replacing all bands as a plus. Few days later, as I needed a medical report in order to apply for our travel insurance reimbursement, she took the time to write down a full document explaining in details the intervention done. End of story: very satisfied and with the plus of bringing back home a different than usual experience for my daughter. The only thing I am sorry about? Canterbury being not so close to Italy, so it'd be... slightly inconvenient to come here again for the next treatment, should we need one. 🙂 Jokes apart, we'd totally recommend it. Thanks again. Parking is pretty convenient as well, close by.

Our first appointment yesterday and we was very impressed. Lovely clean premises. Welcoming and friendly reception staff. Which helps when you have anxiety and fear of the dentist. Sara our orthodontist was wonderful. Kind, welcoming and friendly. She explained everything throughly and calmly and answered all questions. Thank-you for making it such a positive experience for my daughter.
