Ware Dental Care

I have been coming to Ware Dental for many years for routine hygiene visits and dental check-ups. I have always been very impressed by the standard of treatment and care, and overall efficiency of the practice. I recently needed specialist treatment for a dental implant and crown. The entire process, including fitting and adjustment was overseen by Dr Orishko ably assisted by Nurse Gheorghe. They are a very effective team: I felt treated like a person rather than a patient and felt myself to be in very safe and comforting hands. Dr Orishko is excellent: highly skilled and dedicated to ensuring successful outcomes. I was particularly taken with the amount of thought and care that went into the fitting. Like most people, I do not look forward to going to the dentist. They made it a very pleasant experience, however, and if the need arises I would be very happy to return. In the meantime, I will keep using the inter-dental brushes and floss…

I have been coming to Ware Dental Care for years and Dr Deepan Shah has always been so helpful and made me feel very at ease during my dentist appointments. I’ve also seen Lina Petrone for airflow to remove some long-term staining on my teeth and the difference it has made is incredible! I very much appreciate everyone at Ware Dental Care for being so friendly, welcoming and professional.

This is the first time one of my three children have needed dental care as he was suffering with tooth decay. I opted for the non-fluoride filling despite being warned it would fall out quickly, which was true however I didn’t expect it to fall out on the day he got it. I’m left wondering why it’s even an option if it’s so rubbish, but I can probably figure out the answer to that question. Anyway the reason for my low review is because of the aftercare. We were not warned about the consequences/ side effects of numbing the gums with whatever concoction that was. My son suffered for a week, with blisters and swollen gums. We were told this was an allergic reaction. But I don’t believe that to be true, rather a reaction to the toxic my son was injected with, which makes logical sense. Obviously this is standard practice but it’s not normal, and this is why people are frightened of the dentist. There should be better options but that’s the nhs in a nutshell, creating more problems than the original one. Completely regret using the service.. it’s free for a reason.

I had been a patient at Ware Dental Group since I was a child, but unfortunately, my recent experiences there have been extremely disappointing and traumatic. I came in multiple times for deep fillings, and despite explaining clearly that I have a low pain tolerance when it comes to dental work, the treatment I received was far from compassionate. On each visit, I experienced excruciating pain during the procedures. Even while visibly distressed and on the verge of tears, the dentist continued drilling with minimal regard for my discomfort. At the time, I assumed this level of pain was just part of the process, but after recently visiting a private dentist, I now understand that proper dental care should be completely pain-free with the right attention and technique. The contrast between my current care and what I experienced at Ware Dental Group is night and day. I now feel genuinely cared for, listened to, and respected—something I never felt at Ware. Looking back, their rushed approach and lack of sensitivity make it feel like they were more focused on profit than patient well-being. As someone who developed dental anxiety and trauma from these experiences, I urge Ware Dental Group to take greater care with nervous patients. Pain and fear should never be part of a standard treatment, and any patient who expresses concern deserves to be treated with empathy and patience.
