Alexander House Dental Practice

It’s a good dental practice with good service, and they were understanding when I missed an appointment and rebooked me for the same day. If I could make one suggestion it’s to not offer X-rays at every appointment if they’re not necessary. It feels like a sales tactic and I’m just there for healthcare.

Ontop of the receptionist telling me the wrong date for the appointment she called back and was extremely rude. Not even had the appointment yet and the receptionist makes you feel like it’s not worth going. That type of rudeness shouldn’t be allowed in place of healthcare. That was appalling.

Told that the practice is no longer accepting new NHS patients despite stating otherwise online.

Recently signed up with Alexander House, they very kindly gave me an emergency appointment for a few hours after calling them. (I'd tried approx 20 other places closer to me prior!) Receptionist when I arrived were very friendly and the dentist I saw was fantastic. Would certainly recommend and I look forward to returning again,. Hopefully the next time is just a checkup rather than emergency. Update 2024 - been back a few times for checkup appointments, every single time they have been running on time, which is usually unheard of! Continue to be impressed with this dentist. Akeel is the best dentist I've ever had. Update 2025: still running on time! Absolutely the best service I've ever had from a Dentist.

We recently moved to Alexander House from another practice in St Albans. So glad we did, as they are excellent! My daughter had a tooth issue before her first appointment and was grateful to be given an emergency appointment on the day. Thanks to the efficient reception staff! My husband and I were allocated different hygenists whom we rank the best we've had. Today we had our first check up with Dr Sharafali. He was friendly, professional, and took time to go over the x-rays, explaining treatment options. We felt reassured in his care. Highly recommended.

An excellent dental practice. You can always get an emergency appointment if needed, and they are still taking on NHS patients. My boyfriend who hadn't been to the dentist for 35 years due to a dentist phobia, overcame his phobia by visiting the practice. Fahim and the receptionists are amazing.

Lovely people, very courteous, very caring. Easy to book, text reminders as well. Some of the best treatments I have had whether private or under the NHS. The only pain is the parking but there is a massive car park minutes away. Might be a problem if you find stairs difficult as there isn't disabled access but for me it's well worth the struggle. Dr Shah and his team are brilliant.
