Both Oreste and Julie had calm natures, the atmosphere was relaxed Oreste put me at ease explaining clearly what was going to happen. He said at any point I could tell him to stop by raising my hand. During the treatment he stopped to ask if I was ok. I had an injection to numb and where afterwards I would feel numbness for an hour or so I felt nothing. The treatment was quick and efficient. This was my first experience of dental treatment at Merrifield, having only recently moved to Sidmouth. I am very impressed with the way in which the dentist handled my extraction. He was kind, considerate and calm, and took great care to ensure that I was not at all stressed. He was very gentle and so I experienced no discomfort at the time, and very little afterwards, which was gone after only a few hours. The surgery seemed very up-to-date and welcoming. Altogether an encouraging introduction to the dental care provided. Thank you, Merrifield!

Excellent service from Trudy on reception when I had pain and swelling in my mouth - empathetic but also efficient and helpful. I got a prompt appointment to investigate further and Michael was gentle and reassuring in my treatment. Recommend highly !

Just had my initial appointment and was very impressed by the whole experience. Receptionist was friendly and efficient which immediately put me at ease. The dentist (Michael) continued this theme and explained everything to me including what treatment I needed to improve my oral health. I was sent a full report by email, something I have not had from any previous dentist. My treatment plan is clearly set out with costs etc.

I'm a very nervous patient having a bad experiences in my youth. Many moons ago finally plucked up the courage to have a check-up and see the hygienist as I knew my teeth needed checking and a clean. David, Trudi and the hygienist at the time were very patient and understanding. Going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and understanding of my anxiety. Arranging appointments accordingly and being welcoming and reassuring. This has continued for the many years I have been returning, with Catherine and now Michael continuing with the same ethos and understanding. I could not have hoped for a better dental practice.

A caring dental team that put me at ease from beginning to the end of my treatment. Everything was clearly explained from the start to the finish and the follow-up treatment. Highly recommend this practice.

Excellent service from reception right through to dentist Michael and dental nurse. I was extremely nervous as my previous dentist had retired. Michael was patient (in the extreme)very kind and gentle and thorough out. He explained to me all the different stages of treatment. I would recommend Merrifield Dental Practice to all but especially if one is a nervous patient.
