If you use this practice, you will be very well looked after, so leave the nerves at the door. Had a wisdom tooth out here last year, today I had a back tooth removed, both visits I was in and out within 20 minutes, no pain and no discomfort. Rest assured, you're in very good hands.
I was a nervous patient as I have osteoporosis and had been referred because there was the chance of complications. Also the tooth had been filed down so I thought the gum might need cutting so I wasn't looking forward to the extraction. However, the receptionist was quick to put me at ease. I was seen promptly and local anesthetic administered. When I returned after waiting for it to numb the dentist asked if it was numb. When I said 'sort of' he gave me more which made me feel better. Literally one tug and it was out. I didn't feel a thing. I took two painkillers when I got home and haven't needed any since which is a surprise to me. I cannot thank the dentist and all concerned enough. Thank you.
I was referred here for a wisdom tooth extraction. Literally from walking in to leaving all the staff… receptionist, dentist, dental nurse… all extremely friendly and polite… empathetic and most of all professional… I actually had 2 teeth removed which was a shock as I thought I was there for my wisdom tooth but in and out of surgery in about 15 minutes… luckily no complications and all went to plan…. I can’t praise this surgery enough for making what is a not a nice way to spend a Wednesday morning or any day really as pain and stress free as possible…. Thank you so much to everyone involved
My dentist struggled whilst trying to take out a tooth, so I was sent to Trinity House Orthodontics, New Lane, Selby, to have the tooth removed. The dentist Mr Osman Mohammed and his assistant Jody Macdonald were brilliant !!! The dentist removed the tooth so fast that I thought that he had not yet completed the extraction. "Is that it? I asked, "Yes" replied the assistant pointing to my tooth. A superb service !!! Many thanks, Rob.
I was referred by my dentist in Hull to have a tooth extracted as was told it wasn’t as straight forward as usual. I did wait a few months but I was offered short notice appointments Inbetween this time but couldn’t accept due to work. I was seen on time-greeted by the lovely ladies on reception , the dentist & dental nurse were both very friendly & professional & instantly put me at ease. The extraction was done quickly & I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. I was expecting to have pain afterwards & I haven’t felt a thing. Great aftercare advice given. Highly recommend
I was referred here by my NHS dentist for a difficult extraction due to pre-existing conditions and the nature of the extraction. I was scared after previous issues following extractions but the dentist just dismissed my concerns which caused me to become upset. He didn’t seem to understand connective tissue disorders and seemed rushed as he didn’t wait until the anaesthetic was working, which meant the extraction was painful and traumatic. Although he did remove it in a couple of tugs, I don’t understand why I wouldn’t have been better off at my own dentist who at least understood my conditions.
An absolute masterclass in patient care – from the front desk to the surgery chair. I was referred to Trinity House Orthodontics Selby by an NHS emergency dentist for a surgical extraction, after struggling with an infected, broken molar that has plagued me for years. Like many people, I get incredibly anxious about dental work, and walking into a new practice for an emergency surgical extraction is daunting. However, my experience here was nothing short of exceptional. I want to break this review down to help put anyone else’s mind at ease who might be reading this and feeling nervous, worried about where they have been referred to, or wondering if Trinity House is right for them: The Reception Team: We all know the stereotype of medical receptionists being difficult or abrupt—but the team at Trinity House completely breaks that mould. From the initial telephone conversation to the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and efficiency. They were polite, welcoming, and organised. It sets the tone for the whole visit when the first interaction is so positive. The Facilities & Efficiency: The practice itself is spotless. It feels modern, hygienic, and calm. I didn't have to sit stewing in the waiting room feeling my anxiety build; I was called through almost immediately for my appointment. The Dental Team (The Surgeon & Assistant): This is where the practice truly shines. I sadly didn't catch the dentist's name, (my appointment was Jan 21st 2026 at 15:40, if this helps identify them internally) but he was honestly one of the nicest human beings I have ever met - a true professional and a real gent. He could see I was nervous and took the time to explain exactly what would happen in a calm, reassuring way. He also spoke to me throughout the process, telling me what he was doing and why. As for the procedure itself—he is a master at what he does. I did not feel a thing. He worked with such precision and skill - the tooth being very difficult to remove and some bone removal was required - so what I was expecting to be a traumatic ordeal was over before I knew it. His assistant was also brilliant, constantly checking I was okay and working seamlessly with him. You can tell they are a team that takes immense pride in their work. The Verdict: I am now a few days into my recovery and healing well, which is a testament to how well the surgery was performed, along with great aftercare advice. It's nothing like your typical NHS Emergency Dentist extraction (I've had a couple!). If you have been referred here or are considering this practice, please do not worry - you are in truly safe, professional, and incredibly kind hands. Thank you to the entire team at Trinity House for turning a nightmare situation into a positive experience, and actually, giving me my life and health back.
