Smile Dental Care - St Austell

Recently escorted relative to this dentist. Reception staff do a great job. But the facilities are awful. Run down and no accountability for those with mobility issues. Disability parking extremely limited. Rear carpark out of bounds eventhough staff can use. A sign stating park at own risk would cover the flimsy insurance excuse.Going to the first floor is precarious for those who struggle with stairs. Generally a very run down practice which is most probably serving the most disadvantaged in St.Austell. Shame on Smile the company.

I do not recommend anyone to go to this company. Every time we booked and scheduled an appointment, the appointments gets cancelled every time. This is especially frustrating when it's just a simple check-up. This is the third time that this happened. If you are reading this review and would like to respond, I would like the company to give me an honest, transparent answer as to why this keeps occurring to not only me but also to the several customers who faces this issue.

This will be my last 1-star review of this company. Here's the main takeaway as to why I did so: 1) Long wait time (takes ~6 months to go to an appointment) to only be cancelled in the morning of the day, which is extremely annoying and frustrating to deal with, considering we had to wait for so long for the appointment. 2) I find their business model and their practice to be malicious to an extent since you will have to start paying for these health services once you turn 18 years old and I am 16 years old at the time of writing this review to the company. I believe that they are trying to stall and waste my time so that once I turn 18 years old, then will I have to legally pay for the services. If this company doesn't pursue to tackle this issue, I will actively encourage anyone whose in need of dental care to not go to this company and having to deal with this issue.

I visited Smile Dentist on 21/1/25 and saw Candice. Excellent service from her and the dental nurse. I needed a new filling and a repair of a 2nd filling, I couldn't have time off work to come back at another time, so they fitted me in straight away, understanding work commitments of patients. It was the best injection I had ever had, both fillings have been pain free from day one. I'm extremely happy with my repair of chipped tooth and just want to say thank you to Candice for my best dentist experience. Mrs Barresi

It's very small and I did not see a bathroom there when I was there but I could have missed it and it's also very difficult to find were it is

Wonderful staff....excellent Dentist...makes the whole experience a pleasure if that's possible.....Carpark not usable...full of holes...

Disappointed, I registered with this dentist in 2023 and waited for them to book me in for my first visit. Never heard from them... as they were still recovering from the covid waiting lists I thought it was normal. I contacted recently to find out "I'm not a patient there" and because I haven't been seen my information was put in the bin and they're not taking anyone new... Edit: after seeing the reply, I wasn't a NHS patient I went on their private scheme...
