As a nervous patient I find a trip to the dentist a stressful experience. From the moment I arrive at Yealmpton Dental Practice I am put at ease by the welcoming and friendly staff. The professional team take time to explain what they are doing and talk through x-rays, photographs and treatment options as required; happy to answer all of my questions. I have no hesitation is recommending this modern and highly efficient Practice.

My 3 year old son was seen by dentist John Lane as an emergency after he had bashed his tooth and an abscess appeared. It was my son’s first trip to the dentist , as unfortunately had been unable to register with nhs yet . We called yealmpton who were brilliant and we were able to be seen the same day. All the staff were amazing and put my son at ease. He was very knowledgeable and able to provide antibiotics , and reccomend further treatment. My son has no fear of returning, can’t thank John and the team enough.

Amazing service. Had severe tooth pain called on a Saturday mid morning and they got me in with in the hour and sorted it out. 10/10 service from phone call all the way through to the procedure. Staff just lovely and helpful. Many thanks to them all

Yealmpton Dentist Care! But it's private. I phoned 37, yes 37 Plymouth surgeries asking for a same day PRIVATE appt to be told go away; 2 months! I wanted help today. So I thought 0.25M people access 35-40 places so for a laugh I left the city! They saw me same day in 4 hours. I have nothing but good to say. Yes I paid but you pay on the NHS and I had care my way, not the NHS way, so I paid a little more but they fixed my teeth & gums dramtically in 2 sittings in 24 hrs. I work hard for my money, why not?

An excellent, very friendly team providing a first class level of professional service. I've visited many dental surgeries in my time, and I rate this as one of the best. It's under new management and previous comments posted elsewhere can be safely ignored.

Someone said to me "What sort of dental practice are you going to find in the back of beyond?" (although they may have used a slightly more salty term for 'back of beyond'...). The answer is: an amazing dental practice. Actually the best I've encountered (and I'm a Londoner and have travelled widely in the First World). Professional, welcoming (genuinely, not a Disneyland/car sales type of thing), clued-up - just *good*. Even the décor and the general ambience is top class - but you don't get a whole lot of time to appreciate that because you're not kept waiting for ages as in many dental practices. This may be the 'back of beyond', but these people are up-to-date with in-service training and current professional practice. The recruitment policy seems to have 'intelligent' as the number one criteria. Wow - just wow. P.S. Don't go by the website - it's pretty dire!

Really appreciate what John did for me today and the dental nurses, Pat and Sophie! A great practice with lovely, friendly, professional staff. Would definitely recommend! Thank you.
