Mainstone Dental Centre

My husband and I have been with this nhs dentist for years. I rang a few times during covid and after to be told only doing emergencies and no we won't be taken off the list. When I phone up 2 months ago to get my husband an appointment as his face had completely swollen from his tooth I was told we were no longer patients! Just like that. We ended up in a and e and my husband was on a drip ending with an appointment at baring Street 2 weeks later. I would like to ask the manager how he thinks this is acceptable?

I’ve been using this dentist for many years. Anita has been my dentist now for a couple of years. I get quite anxious and nervous at the dentist, but Anita is very calming and understands completely, explains everything that’s happening and really puts you at ease. Reception staff friendly and welcoming too.

Avoid!!!! I have been with this dental practice for more than ten years & I hate it. They are money orientated. Under their care I have had teeth brake due to incompetence, then when you question them, as an educated person, they kick you out. I have had conflicting advice from separate dentist & they're always looking to badger patients into getting unnecessary treatments, usually private, just to line their own pockets. The Practice Manager is not a nice person & will defend negligent dentist, rather than a victimised patient. As they are NHS dentist, they treat everyone badly, as they know they can still fill patient list regardless of how badly people are treated.

If you want your kids victimised and blamed and then thrown off the register for being 10 mins late for an appointment, then this is the practice for you. Rude reception staff and a rude practice manager. Also, don't use their cancellation service, because that gets marked on your record as a DID NOT ATTEND! Strongly advise going elsewhere

Been with this dentist for 46 years as an NHS pt, when out of the blue receive a letter stating that there are no NHS appointments available any more and you need to take out a private plan, this is absolutely disgusting behaviour as it states in the letter that there are NHS appointments still available, on the telephone when you query it they say no NHS dentist available

No response to emails and been waiting over 3 years for NHS dentist. Will now put in Data request and end my association with them.

Had 3 fillings done on the first of the month ! 23 days later ALL 3 have fallen out !! Disgusting shoddy work . Must have used PLAYDOUGH . Now I have to either wait 3 weeks to replace or pay private elsewhere...wont be going back there again !!! NHS or not !!!
