Cripps Dental Centre

4.2

Cripps Dental Centre in Nottingham offers a mixed experience for patients seeking Invisalign treatments. While many praise the professionalism and calm demeanor of the dental team, particularly Dr. Anthony and Dr. Nicola, others have reported significant delays and poor communication. The centre is known for its efficient service in emergency situations, but there are concerns about transparency in pricing and appointment scheduling.

The clinic has received both highly positive feedback for its welcoming atmosphere and thorough care, as well as criticism for long wait times and unexpected charges. Overall, Cripps Dental Centre shows potential but may need to address these inconsistencies to ensure a uniformly positive experience for all patients.

My first visit was yesterday (22/12/25) having had toothache for a week and half, I rang and the nice receptionist said I could join. Went at teatime for check up and x-ray . Dr Anthony knew I have anxiety ,made my visit a calm one. Told me I needed a filling , receptionist rang today (23/12/25) with a cancellation and again he kept me calm . Despite going dizzy as my heart rate was over 168bpm I left feeling very happy.

I was recommended here by both friends and family. I haven't been to the dentist in around 25 years until I broke a tooth 3 days ago. I was really nervous but the dentist and her assistant were awesome. My teeth are fine, the dentist had my tooth sorted quickly, and I was off home with a smile on my face. Highly recommend and thank you.

I have had a fantastic experience at Cripps Dental Centre. The team is professional, welcoming, and clearly committed to the highest standards of care. A special thank you to (Dr.) Nicola; her attention to detail, calm manner, and genuine care truly made all the difference. Nicola and her assistant were also fast, efficient, and made the whole process feel seamless. Highly recommended!

Had a very painful tooth for 7/10 days so went to try and get it sorted. Got a phone call early the following day offering me an appointment at midday. By 12.30 my tooth had been extracted! I was impressed by the service

My daughter saw Dr Anthony today and all I can say is, it has been the best & most informative dental appt we've ever had. He was extremely professional, helpful, friendly & gave loads of advice and explanations. Dr Anthony did a thorough check of my daughters teeth and took a thorough and precise history. I'm just so impressed with Dr Anthony. My daughter is now not dreading going for her next check up!!!!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the extremely poor service I received during my recent visit. This was honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dental clinic. I waited for more than two hours in total, only to experience confusion, poor communication, and a complete lack of respect for my time. At first, I was called in to see a dentist. She asked me a few questions, then suddenly left the room saying she would be back in a minute. A nurse opened the door, and then the nurse told me to wait outside because the dentist was apparently not feeling well. I was then informed that they would let me know whether another dentist could see me. By that point, I had already waited for more than one hour. I was asked yet again to keep waiting, with no clear explanation and no apology that felt appropriate for such a delay. After waiting even longer, I was finally seen by another dentist more than 30 minutes later. He told me that my teeth needed a normal cleaning, but at no point did he explain that this would require two separate appointments or that I would be expected to pay twice. When I went to reception to book the hygiene appointment, I was told that I was "lucky" because there had been a cancellation and I could be seen that same day after only five minutes. However, this was completely misleading, because I then waited more than 30 additional minutes before being seen by the hygienist. The hygienist examined my teeth, did not explain that the treatment would only cover part of the cleaning, and did not mention that I would need a second appointment at an extra charge. She then started the procedure, but after only about 20 minutes, she stopped and told me I would need to book another appointment to complete the rest. Naturally, I assumed that this would be part of the same treatment fee of £65, since nobody had explained otherwise beforehand. To my shock, when I returned to reception to book the appointment for the top part of my teeth, I was told that I would have to pay again. This was completely unacceptable. At no point before treatment started was I told that the quoted fee was only for 20 minutes or only for half of the teeth. This lack of transparency is extremely misleading and unfair. I am very unhappy with the way this entire visit was handled. The service was disorganised, unprofessional, and poorly communicated from start to finish. I wasted hours waiting, was passed from one person to another, and was not properly informed about the treatment plan or the costs involved. Patients should be given clear information in advance, especially when extra appointments and additional charges are involved. I would like this matter to be formally reviewed, and I expect an explanation as to why: I was kept waiting for such an excessive amount of time. I was not clearly informed in advance that the cleaning would require two appointments. I was not told that I would need to pay twice. The £65 fee was not properly explained before treatment began. This experience was extremely disappointing, stressful, and unacceptable. I hope you take this complaint seriously and respond appropriately. Yours sincerely, Tasneem Yousif
