Clavering House Dental Practice

I have been an nhs patient with this practice for many years & unfortunately I needed an urgent appointment today. From being greeted by the receptionist,being seen by the dental nurse & then treated by the dentist,all were polite & professional. I have nothing but praise for the care & treatment I was given by all members of this practice. Highly recommend Clavering House.

A simple filling of a tooth that didn't hurt ended up in a visit to a private clinic and a root canal treatment for 1,000 pounds. I warn everyone to stay away from this clinic. They have a complete lack of knowledge, equipment, and, above all, hygiene. The service at the front desk is very poor.

We just recently moved to the area and signed up with this practice . My previous dentist had a treatment plan for me and told me to let my new dentist knows about it . Which was one of my very old filling needs to be redone . I visited the dentist two days ago , she took an X-ray and did a basic check up and said it’s all good . I said but this tooth needs a new filling . She said I don’t want to touch it . You have two options . Either remove it or she can refer me to a root canal specialist which will cost over £900 Also, my husband’s crown came off . This same dentist told him, she can’t redo it . Either remove it or she can refer him to someone else for an implant which will cost over £2500 So, literally this dentist refuse to treat patients and trying to get money by referring us to private dentists Do not use this practice . I will report to NHS too

If I could give zero stars I really would. I have had nothing but negative experiences from this practice. I am incredibly phobic of dentists and this has been made infinitely worse. I had a bad reaction to the local I was given and was belittled by the dentist... I was shouted at by both the dentist and the receptionist and since having three fillings done at the practice each of these teeth have snapped in half and had to be taken out. Even the out of hours 111 dentist was horrified by the poor job done at this practice. I am horrified at the standard of care provided here.

Everyone outside of the hygienist, who was lovely, at this practice are rude, arrogant and the quality of treatment provided to me as NHS patient was joke. They cancelled one appointment 25 minutes beforehand as the dentist was apparently sick. This was after I had travelled to Ipswich for said appointment. That same week they also cancelled my partners NHS appointment due to 'computer issues'. They said they would call back but never did. Even before this they wouldn't see me for an emergency appointment after I had registered with them as they needed to do a check up first so had to find another NHS dentist to do the work..... The second check up was pointless. Less than 5 mins in total i was in the treatment room and the dentist made it clear she wasn't going to do anything and wanted me gone as quickly as possible. Finally when I need treatment on a tooth she wouldn't do it as its a back tooth and complicated. My patience with them finally went when the same dentist tried to tell me she would refer me to the private side for the same treatment people are entitled to on the NHS. Absolutely shockingly poor service. If you can't be bothered to treat NHS patients with anything but disdain then don't offer that service.

Good practice been going for 5 years now, do good work and reasonable charges. High-light is the hygienist Annabel, decades (!) of experience, good advice, very good and friendly, even when it 'hurts' - I go every 3 months now, worth it. Recommended

Went for my first appointment with Annie the Hygenist today. Booking in was easy, staff were all helpful. Annie was very friendly and talked me through the whole process, giving me tips on how I can brush more effeciently. Would definately recommend this practice and will be back again 🙂
