Scissett Dental Practice

I have been going to Scissett Dental Practice for a few years and always found them friendly and helpful. Even after I moved out of the area I still travel back to use them. I have recently had braces fitted and although there was some confusion with the company supplying the braces that staff were kept me informed, re scheduled appointments promptly and even stayed after hours to get them fitted . Would recommend them, 5 stars

I was a patient at this practice for several years and had repeatedly been contacted by them to change appointments at short notice to suit their scheduling. Each time, I accommodated this without issue to help the practice. Around a year ago, I missed an appointment that was specifically for an Invisalign assessment after finishing work late. I was immediately chased for a £50 charge. I made it clear at the time that I would not be paying this and that I would be discontinuing my care with the practice. Despite this, I continued to receive reminder texts and emails over the following months. Recently, in good faith, I contacted the practice again to try and resolve the matter and explained that if the £50 charge was waived, I would be willing to return as a patient. Instead, the practice chose to uphold the charge, even after involving both the clinician and the owner. As a direct result of this, I proceeded with Invisalign treatment elsewhere at a cost of £3,990 — business that this practice chose to lose over a £50 charge. The issue here isn’t policy; it’s the lack of discretion, balance, and appreciation for long-standing patients who had previously been flexible when it suited the practice. I would not return and would not recommend this practice to anyone who values fairness and reasonable treatment.

Brilliant. Imtiaz is calm, friendly, and always takes the time to patiently explain everything carefully. He has been wonderful with my children too, despite a couple of really tricky extractions as a precursor to orthodontic treatment. Would certainly recommend.

Super fast appointment. I’m quite scared of dentists but these guys made me feel very calm and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

What a great experience.I made an appointment here as a private patient due to a filling that came out and leaving it too long after being petrified of dentists.Imtiaz went out of his way to make me feel calm and reassured me.Today I had an extraction and 3 implants put in place including bone grafts.The nurse came in today to help to fit around my plans.Both were amazing.I cant recommend them enough.It was done with clear concise planning and communication throughout and Im healing with very little after pain.Dont bother with these massive dentists promising the world, for me this is the only dentist who I trust.Excellent!

I’d feared this implant appointment for more than a decade and so kept putting it off. Finally booked a consultation with Imtiaz Khajwal who was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I was booked in within a month to have the work done and despite being so anxious I didn’t sleep the night before, he and the dental nurse immediately put me at ease. The procedure was surprisingly painless and I felt calm throughout and very safe in their care. I’ve genuinely had worse fillings. Wish i’d seen them years ago!!

Fantastic treatment. Very professional. I genuinely have a fear of dentists. However I was put at ease and can now smile again. Thank you.
