Hockley Dental Surgery

I moved to Hockley about 4 years ago and my previous dentist where I used to live was too far to keep going back. I am so pleased that I chose this dentist, the receptionist staff are so friendly and supportive. My hygienist is great with a very caring attitude. And my actual dentist is very caring and nice too. 100% definately recommend this dentist, by far the best I have been to. Anna

Sam has been my dentist since he joined the practice, and I feel very lucky to be under his care, alongside dental nurse Jenny. When I experienced severe dental pain and needed a root canal and crown, I was extremely anxious and quite upset. Both Sam and Jenny treated me with such kindness, patience and empathy. I was gently talked through every stage of treatment, reassured throughout, and reminded I could pause at any time. I was also given same-day appointments and thoughtful follow-up calls afterwards. Their compassion made what was a very distressing experience so much more manageable. Their excellent care is consistent at every appointment, not just during urgent treatment. I’m incredibly grateful — thank you both for your exceptional care.

After a very bad experience six years ago with another dentist and a now broken tooth I had to see a dentist. I made an appointment at Hockley dental surgery and had an initial appointment with Sagar Patel. Knowing how anxious I was he explained everything and was so caring ( as was his dental assistant) . Even the reception staff are lovely and kind. I have now had two crowns and felt totally at ease in his care. Would 100% recommend Hockley Dental Surgery, especially if you are anxious as I was. 😊

Lovely reception, lovely new dentist, lovely nurses and support staff. Unfortunately my daughter fainted just as we were leaving, the staff came out of nowhere all of whom were kind, calm and supportive until she recovered. The surgery phoned later that afternoon to see how she was.

I've been going to this practice for well over 50 years, being treated by John Joyce and before that by his father Don. I have always received first class care. I must also recommend Ross Hagon, the hygienist who is very thorough and it was Ros who noticed I had a lump on one of my tonsils. I was referred to hospital, where it was discovered it was cancerous - fortunately only stage 2 and I have been clear for 3 years. So hats off to all at the practice - not forgetting the very friendly receptionists!
