The Barbara Castle Dental Practice

I just wanted to say how impressed I have been with BCDental Practice. I have always been terrified of the dentist due to some childhood treatment (elsewhere) so when I first started coming I would cry throughout! But the dentist has always reassured me and be kind and gentle. Over the past few years I don't feel scared any more. I come regularly and the treatment is always just excellent. I can't recommend this practice highly enough. The dental team and reception team are all friendly and caring and great at what they do. Thank you all x

It's has been a total disappointment. I feel like I paid money for nothing. The appointment lasted 5 minutes and I was not provided with good thorough check up on my first visit to the dental clinic. The receptionist was cold, impersonally welcomed me. The doctor was rushing and refused to do x ray on this appointment. They made me pay deposit for another appointment and it was so unfair. When I called them and expressed that I was not satisfied with the service, they didn't even sort it nicely. The receptionist on phone abruptly cut me off when I was trying to explain why I was unhappy with the visit. She coldly offered me refund for the next appointment. It was the worst ever dental service and customer service in private dental clinic I visited for the first time. I won't recommend it to anyone who wants a good service.

I would just like to publically thank Funmi and Gavin for their amazing support having my wisdom teeth removed over the last couple of months. I have had severe dental phobia since a bad experience having a tooth removed as a child and this made it very difficult to attend even having a dental review which I had avoided for many years prior to meeting Funmi. Fast forward a few years following breaking a wisdom tooth on holiday I was advised it would need to be removed - cue a horrible panic attack and basically having a breakdown in the dental chair. Funmi and Gavin were just the kindest kindest professional people ever, they helped to keep me calm and reassured, not feeling rushed or not listened to during the procedure -they even let me put my headphones on to listen to calming music which helps me a lot and I’m sure that the headphones probably got in the way but they accommodated this and were just the difference in helping me get the tooth removed without any further panic attacks. Today I had to return to have my 2nd wisdom tooth removed (they are so pesky) and although I was really nervous I knew I was in good hands and the procedure went a smoother as I was probably more relaxed. So thank you Funmi (best dentist ever!) and Gavin (best dental nurse ever!) for being so kind, caring and supportive ❤️❤️

I am a really nervous patient and always have been but I can’t fault this dentist. She is very patient and reassuring and after having a few visits and always having a good experience I am no longer nervous to go to the dentist. They are also GREAT when my kids come for their appointments to. And the receptionists are always good to and very friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is nervous and scared of the dentist.

High standard of hygiene. You are educated on exactly what the problem is.and advice what can be done. Very professional and know exactly what they are doing.

I’ve gone from being fearful of the Dentist, to I’m actually excited to get my teeth sorted! The staff are amazing, polite and friendly! From visiting the lovely receptionists, to seeing the dentist, the whole procedure is relaxed and welcoming. Even when they find teeth problems, the advice is so friendly and knowledgeable, it makes you feel better knowing! So thank you, to the whole team for the love and dedication you’ve put into this surgery!

Cannot fault this dentist!! Absolutely lovely staff all round. They accepted myself and my 4 daughters as NHS patients. I had my check up and needed more treatment, there was a cancellation after me so i had my follow up treatment then and there. Really lucky to have found them!
