Harland & Dear Dental Surgery

I was a regular patient here for over 50 years, starting with Mrs Dear and after her retirement, Dillon. As I live 45 minutes away I reluctantly transferred to a local dentist to avoid the driving. I was always very happy with my treatment but it was so nice to hear from my new, local, dentist that in his opinion I had been very well looked after and he was very complimentary about my denture. So thank you to everyone at Harland and Dear - I’m sorry to have left you and I wish you well in the future. Andrea T

Excellent dental service! The entire team is friendly, professional, and great with children. The receptionists are warm and accommodating, too, making every visit a pleasant experience. We first came here when my older son needed an emergency appointment, referred by 111, at a time when we weren’t registered with any dentist due to our recent move. They were the only practice in the area willing to help, and we’ve been grateful patients ever since. Highly recommend for families!

I’ve had a truly wonderful experience at this dental practice! The hygienist, Yuga, is an absolute standout—her cleanings are not only incredibly thorough but also remarkably gentle. The Airflow treatment she performed left my teeth feeling exceptionally clean, a feeling I haven't experienced before. The entire process was surprisingly comfortable and pain-free. Dr. Dilen is, without a doubt, one of the kindest and most patient dentists I've ever met. He has a wonderfully calming presence and takes the time to explain every detail, ensuring I always feel informed and at ease. It's clear that the entire team genuinely cares about their patients' well-being. I can't recommend this practice enough. If you're looking for a professional and genuinely caring dental team, this is the place to go!

Went in for an emergency. Had an xray. Very bad infection that needed emergency root canal. Didn't treat it then sent me away which was negligent as leaving infection untreated is dangerous. Rang them back several times hoping they would give me follow up treatment that day given the diagnosis and severity. Secretaries unsympathetic and unhelpful and nobody seemed to want to help. Was a strange experience given they could see the agony I was in and the severity of the infection. After a day and a half begging for treatment I went elsewhere and the dentist who eventually saw me was appalled they let me leave without treatment - saying it was negligence. We also had a terrible time getting hold of the xrays they did for me and these had to be done again by the new dentist so that he could treat me. H&D did refund me for my xrays and appointment eventually but it was such a terrible experience I would never go back.

As a nervous patient I always receive first class treatment from Dr R Henry and the staff team who all show such care and helpfulness.

I’ve been a patient at this dentist since childhood and now into adulthood! The reception team, dentists and hygienists have always been kind and informative. The surgery has been great with some emergency appointments my family have needed. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

I had a wonderful experience at the practice today, I saw Soya for a hygiene appointment, which i experienced no pain whatsoever, Dr D. Patel did my checkup for me, which made me feel no dental anxiety, and I liked my experience! The reception team are also lovely, I spoke to Jane and Rose today. 10/10!
