Stobswell Dental Practice

This is an excellent and friendly dental practice, despite its humble exterior. Mz Bandura is the best dentist I've ever encountered. I've seen her in a previous practice as well as this one, and received care as both an nhs and a private patient. She always involves me in discussions about my oral health and treatment options and takes my wishes and needs in to account. She's highly professional and trustworthy. I feel comfortable, respected and in safe hands at this practice. Highly recommend.

As someone who had not been to a dentist in too many years, the team here were all very nice to me, and my dentist treated me very well on each visit. My anxiety levels around dentists have gone down dramatically thanks to them.

Exceptional Experience at Stobwell Dental Practice From start to finish, the staff at Stobwell Dental Practice were professional, polite, and incredibly helpful. My 6-year-old daughter had a filling and cleaning treatment here, and to my amazement, she experienced no pain and didn’t even realize she was being treated! Although I don’t know the name of the female dentist who carried out the procedure, I must say she and her colleagues were fantastic—extremely child-friendly and reassuring. It’s clear they have a great approach to making young patients feel comfortable. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for excellent dental care for their children. I have been twice to this practice. First time I was given 3 fillings. Within a week one of the fillings fell out. Then the first filling fell out again along with another filling. £98.00 I had to pay and that wwas the cost under the NHS.I really don't want to go back,but where else can I go.

I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. I went there because my tooth still hurt after a filling and I needed a root canal treatment. I was told to just "wait it out" since I said I wasn't taking painkillers after being asked. Like it was just going to magically go away after months of sensitivity and pain. Delaying a root canal treatment can lead to serious complications and tooth loss and I just cannot believe that a real doctor would seriously advise me to just "wait it out" and do nothing. I was not being taken seriously and this visit was useless and a complete waste of time. Please don't go to this awful and useless practice, they'll just invalidate your concerns and do nothing about them.

After years of getting excellent treatment in this surgery, I was given a new dentist. I told her I was having trouble with my two front crowns ie a small persistent abscess on my gum. She examined and x- rayed the gum and advised the post was cracked and I would probably require a denture, at the cost of 600 POUNDS. Being an NHS patient, I was shocked to say the least. She advised I wouldn't get an NHS denture for months (and as it was Christmas time) so I agreed. Although I still required 2 fillings, which had been discussed at the check-up, when I got my new denture, (she was conveniently absent that day) I was advised by a different dentist, that fillings were not written in my notes and was dismissed. I asked the receptionist for another appt. and after I protested was reluctantly given one several months later when I was advised that this would again require to be done privately, as patching up my NHS amalgum ones would most likely result in the patches falling off. At this point I told her I was going and wouldn't be back she was only interested in private treatment and not NHS. Now I'll need to try and find another dentist as I can't afford these charges as I am a pensioner.

The practice was recently taken over. The dentist didn't introduce herself at all so I don't know her name. When she came in the room she stood with her back to me and said if my teeth aren't perfect when I visit I will be refused treatment, she also told me I had to buy a particular electric toothbrush, when I checked this out it costs over 130 pounds. Also my scale and polish was cancelled which I really needed since I've not had one since 2019. I was also not told about price hikes , only found out when I went to pay.
