Lochee Dental Care

Came after a long time to the clinic for my emergency appointment. I am dentally anxious, but the receptionist explained everything to me before the appointment and tried to calm me down in the waiting area by chatting with me. Felt good to be welcomed so politely. The dentist and nurse were good as well. Had a great experience. Won’t be scared to visit the practice again.

This practice has changed ownership, and my experience with the new team has been very disappointing. The receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. She raised her voice during phone calls and ended the call abruptly. Several of the skilled dentists who previously worked here have since left, and the overall service quality has noticeably declined. I was also told to bring cash because the card machine was ‘not working.’ However, I saw another customer before me pay by card without any issue. When I questioned this, I was told the machine had just been fixed. A few days later, for my next appointment, I was again asked to bring cash due to the same reason. Based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend this dental practice.

Do not go here if you are an NHS patient. I was wrongfully charged for treatment I should have received for free. Upon disputing the charge and receiving a refund I was promptly dismissed and told I was unable to return as a patient (not that I would have anyway). Staff were impolite and unprofessional. I was asked to return and pay with cash as the card machine had been ‘down for months now’. It took me months to get an appointment in the first place. Staff never answer the phone, always had to phone at least 5 times multiple times a day to get any response.

Would recommend my teeth were saved and look a lot better. Always able to fit me in unlike the last owners where there was never an appointment for months. Got airflow cleaning on my badly stained teeth and very happy with the results. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Joyce does a great job of my teeth I wouldn't change, she has done nothing but improve my smile and given great advice every visit. Also much more affordable prices than my previous dentist I am now able to afford the treatments to improve my smile and make me feel much more confident. You have taken my ten year fear of the dentist away I can't thank you enough! Also all the girls make me feel so welcome and relaxed and very friendly atmosphere would highly recommend and have done to many!

Girls at the practice are all very nice. Good practices in place. Only criticism would be that to get nhs scale and polish I had to book appt for August. However they Could fit me in next day if I went private.

This practice is a disaster, avoid! Have been there for about 10 years and it completely changed since the start. Dentists are not staying there for long, I even don't remember how many times my dentist was changed. The practice can cancel appointment on a day of the appointment without even explaining why, when I took a day off work because of this appointment. The next appointment available was in about 7 weeks. Now they don't have NHS hygienist, they are asking me to pay for my 14 years old son who is entitled for free dental care. This is just a few things and it is much more from my experience. Very disappointed!
