I've been with this dentist for a few years now and feel it's about time I left a review. I would highly recommend Royal Terrace Dental Practice to anyone looking for a professional and reliable dental team. They are very much a no-fuss practice that gets the job done efficiently, with a dry sense of humour that you come to appreciate after a few visits. Despite what must be a heavy workload, the entire team remains friendly, approachable, and highly professional. Most recently, I had a wisdom tooth removed due to gum disease. While it wasn't the most straightforward extraction from a dental perspective, the tooth had been causing significant irritation and discomfort which was beginning to impact my daily life and responsibilities as a parent. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly, listened to my concerns, and carried out the procedure professionally. Like many people, I have a longstanding fear of dentists dating back to childhood, so having to return for treatment naturally brought some anxiety. However, the team at Royal Terrace were reassuring, understanding, and supportive throughout the process, helping to put me at ease. Overall, the standard of care I have received has been excellent. Professional, honest, and patient-focused from start to finish. Thank you to the whole team for the care and service you provide.

Im not usually one to complain, and I’m generally very easy-going, but the experience I had at this dentist today was beyond unprofessional. I was referred here for a tooth extraction, and from the moment I walked in there was no greeting, reassurance, or communication at all — which is especially uncomfortable for anyone who already feels anxious about visiting the dentist. (I had an older guy didnt catch his name) The extraction itself was extremely rough and rushed. The dentist removed my tooth in less than a minute with what felt like absolutely no care. He was pulling aggressively from side to side and ended up ripping the side of my gum unnecessarily, which has left me in a lot of discomfort. From the moment he started to the moment the tooth was out was around 30 seconds. I’ve genuinely never had such a bad experience with any healthcare treatment before, and I left feeling shocked and upset by how it was handled. I have another extraction here which I’m ringing up to cancel tomorrow and paying around 5 times the amount at my own dentist il never return here and would advise anyone to stay away from here.

As a very nervous patient, it has taken me a long time to finally book and have my extraction of a broken molar tooth and I can only wish I’d done it sooner! I had the extraction under sedation and didn’t feel a thing (after the initial numbing injection) It feels like I could’ve blinked and it was all done. I did end up needing 2 stitches but I didn’t even realise he’d done them he was that good! I’m 12 hours after and still no pain! Honestly can’t thank the team enough for putting me at ease and making this such a pleasant experience - for what it was

My first visit was a very swift assessment- very punctual and professional with information about the procedure and myself to be completed. Appointment for extraction made before leaving at a time and date convenient for me. I could not believe how swift and painless the wisdom tooth was removed - no bruising or any major after effects apart from some discomfort managed with paracetamol for a few days. Parking opposite in the public parking area is preferable to trying to find a place in a side road and a good price for an hour.

The dentist here is amazing. Explained every step to me and I wasn't rushed at any time. The nurse was also great, she was so reassuring and friendly. I really appreciate the time that was taken and the fact the dentist was so nice. The receptionist was curt with me, I do understand and they are rushed off their feet, but don't let them put you off!! Great place

I’m a very nervous patient and was referred here for a wisdom tooth extraction. The dentist was absolutely incredible - so reassuring and patient, and also incredibly skilled. I was in and out of the procedure room in less than 15 minutes including the time it took for anaesthetic to kick in. Procedure itself was less than 5 minutes. I’m on day 4 post procedure now and have had no pain, no swelling, no bruising. Absolutely top class service. Just editing to add that I can’t believe there are some reviews on here which see the speed as a negative. Wisdom tooth extraction is really tricky and you need to go in with a realistic expectation of the possibility that it won’t be a straightforward extraction.
