I visited iCare Dental for a consultation because of a tooth issue. I was given a treatment plan for £1,285, including a root canal and a crown. I decided to get a second opinion at another clinic. The dentist there showed me my X-rays, explained everything clearly and said that my root canals were healthy and did not need treatment. The tooth was restored without a root canal, and the total cost was around 300. What disappointed me most was not only the cost but the lack of explanation. I was not shown my X-rays or given a clear reason for why such extensive treatment was necessary. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to expensive treatment.
