I had a fantastic experience today with the hygienist, Alex Janke. From start to finish, Alex was incredibly friendly and made me feel completely at ease. What I appreciated most was how thorough and patient he was. He took the time to explain every step of the process and was exceptionally gentle throughout the cleaning. He also frequently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and doing okay. I’m very happy with the results and would highly recommend Alex to anyone!

Had hygiene appointment today with Alex Janke and nurse Ella. I was immediately put at ease by both of them. Both were friendly and considerate. Alex took time to explain the process and made sure to check I was comfortable throughout. He also gave helpful advice for onward care. They are a credit to the practice. Thank you to them both 😊

I feel that I must express my appreciation of the delightful Dr Crystal Chan. She is always welcoming and friendly, but very professional, taking time to explain clearly what treatment is needed and how she will go about it. I have presented Crystal with some challenges, but in my long and varied experience of dental treatment, her skill and expertise are second to none. I have been very pleased with everything she has done for me. What an asset she is to Hathaway Dental Practice. I must also mention the very pleasant and helpful receptionists. Anne Ellis

My usual dentist is exceptional and I have no concerns whatsoever. However if one wishes to make an emergency appointment it is nigh impossible because no one answers the phone and neither does one receive a call back despite the telephone response suggests a call will be returned. This is the second time this has occurred and suggests my experience this morning is not a one off. I have tried all morning to call but the same response. Most disappointing especially as the practice has become private!!

Was very weary about visiting the hygienist again after a very bad experience last year. However, the new hygienist Alex and his nurse were fantastic and very understanding. Alex explained every stage of the procedure and at no point was I worried or in pain. Completely different experience. Thank you both. See you in 6 months ☺️

Despite our frustration at losing our NHS dentist—and at a time when household costs in all areas seem to be rising exponentially—I feel it is only fair to set this wider dire situation and concern aside and review the service I’ve personally received from this practice. That said, with further dental fee increases likely under Den-Plan dental costs and affordability is worrying for us. I have been satisfied with the care provided by the dentist and his team, who are consistently friendly and courteous, and I can recommend the practice. A little more time for consultation and advice on cleaning and oral care would be appreciated, as the dentist is always happy to answer questions, though guidance is generally given only when asked.
