South Cave Dental Surgery

I recently had an appointment at the dentist and like most people don’t look forward to going. However Rachel and the dental nurse were very friendly and reassuring. Rachel explained my procedure fully which helped to put me at ease. I was happy with my treatment and the end result. Thank you for a positive experience.

I have been a patient at South Cave dental practice for many years, I have always received the best care. All staff from Reception to the Hygienist etc have shown a great level of professionalism and caring for my dental health. Today’s appointment was extremely helpful aiding me with taking charge of my own dental care and I received excellent care and support. I would recommend this practice to others who are looking for a high level of care for themselves and/or their family. As the world has changed so has their delivery of caring for their patients and I have joined their scheme which provides private care, they have structured a new system which allows patients like myself who do not have private healthcare to have access to a wonderful dentist and it does not cost the earth. I am lucky to have a dentist who shows a high level of care.

As usual the team at reception were professional and courteous. I was then called through for my hygiene check up where Sara and her colleague looked after me and made me feel comfortable. Additionally I was given advice on looking out for possible misses in my cleaning of my teeth. Afterwards I left with a fond farewell. Thanks for looking after me.

We attended South cave dentist for a check up appointment as a family. The service we received was excellent. My daughter is very nervous and the dentist Rachael Getgood made her feel at ease. She was very patient and explained everything she was doing. Very satisfied with the visit.

Great service from Rachel Getgood again. My 8-year-old gets a bit anxious, but she always takes the time to explain what she's doing and go at his pace. She is so calm and reassuring. The Dental Nurse yesterday was also very friendly and comforting. Thank you!

Our family of 3 had originally been patients at South Cave dentist for over 10 years then already having our next appointment booked we received an email saying mine and my daughters dentist was retiring our appointment was cancelled they were hoping to get a new dentist to replace her , we never heard anything again , after just over a year I rang to query thinking we were still registered I was abruptly told we were not registered for a dentist there ,if we had an emergency they would try to fit us in , that was news to us. we were apparently on a very long waiting list , then another year on we received a random phone call saying we were at the top of the list to book in for a check up , while we are grateful to have a dentist again it would have been nice to have all this explained in the original email. But our new dentist at the practice was thorough and lovely don’t know his name.

I had an appointment with my hygienist Sirelle Kitchman on Monday and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She was incredibly attuned, patient, and thorough throughout. She took the time to ensure I felt comfortable at every stage, explaining everything clearly and working with such care and attention. It made what can sometimes feel like a daunting clinical experience feel calm, supportive, and genuinely positive. Thank you, Sirelle.
