The Health Centre Dental Practice

I visited the dentist yesterday. The dentist, James, was very thorough and did all the required checks and tasks effectively. He was very good in describing the current condition of my teeth and the actions I need to take to care for my teeth. We have not always had a good experience from some of the other dentists at this practice in the past. The practice seems to be struggling with making, and maintaining appointments as a result of staffing issues. I would have given 5 stars but I had to wait half an hour in the waiting room for my 9am appointment without anyone explaining reasons for the delay

Received a reminder in the post today that I am overdue for my dental appt. Of course I am: you have cancelled both of my appointments this year at the last minute! The first time I was turned away at the door. I turned up with my two children for our family appointment and was sent away as 'the dentist is on holiday this week'. I rescheduled and again went through the trouble of organising time off work, taking the children out of school etc only to receive a letter two days before the appt that, you guessed it, it was cancelled again. No explanation, no apology. When I rang the practice the receptionist could not explain why this had happened again and her attitude was rude and dismissive. Needless to say that I won't be coming back.

Appalling. Unfortunately I'm not able to leave zero stars. If you want to a practice that's so understaffed they can't answer the phone, a practice that repeatedly cancels at short notice long standing appointments, a practice where the dentist refuses to honour an appointment for a minor, while you're actually waiting for it in waiting room, and one where you're likely to be seen by a dentist who admits that she doesn't know what the treatment should be (also for a minor), then B-O-A Dental Practice is the place for you. You have been warned, it's bad!

I had an excellent experience at this dentists yesterday, 14 Feb. The receptionist Anna was polite and efficient. The dentist, Sonya, was cheerful, informative and very professional, with a good sense of humour. Full marks from me as a very happy patient.

They just keep cancelling appointments for all in our family. They don't answer the phone. The cherry on the cake was they cancelled my husband's appointment which was back to back with mine. He queried this eventually by email (unable to reach via phone) only to hear mine was cancelled too. I am still waiting for the notification to be sent to me that it is cancelled.... Appalling!

Came in today for an emergency tooth extraction and it went perfectly..didnt even feel the tooth come out n didnt even realise it was out until she said it was out...the dentist was absolutely amazing very professional and kept me valm throughout the whole procedure i would give 6 stars but google only has 5 stars would highly recomend to anyone looking for a dentist very welcoming and professional..

Dreadful organisation and rude. They decided they were asking for payment upon booking treatment, didn't keep any records, and then later demanded I pay (when I had already paid) I won't be returning.
