Damira South Ham Dental Practice

I care for my 81 year old mum who has Alzheimer’s disease and osteoporosis. She was quite anxious in the chair although the hygienist was kind. He gave her instructions but of course she didn’t remember them. I was glad to be there to help out. When I asked for a sensory ball or fidget toy they didn’t have anything to offer although they did find a plastic textured item for her to hold. They did their best but were limited. A sensory box for any anxious clients would be helpful. I wonder if there are any practitioners that have specific training in this area too. It would be greatly appreciated.

As a new patient, I was taken on as an NHS patient, I got a check up appointment straight away. I gave a 4* rating as my follow on appointment was cancelled on the day and I had to wait over a week for the re-booking. When I did arrive for my treatment I was very nervous but was treated with care and compassion by the Dentist and the nurse. They did an excellent job and I am very grateful.

Maziar Faroozan is absolutely amazing. Any fear of the dentist that I had, completely disappeared after my 3rd visit with him. Highly recommended, brilliant dentist and a really nice person while remaining professional. Would also like to say a big thank you to his nurse too, she's lovely.

I recently switched to Dr Osama Sheikh to improve my dental experience at Damira, and I am genuinely glad I made that decision. From the very first appointment, he took the time to check my full dental history instead of repeating unnecessary X-rays like many dentists do. He explained every step of my root canal in clear detail, was completely transparent, and carried out the entire procedure in a single appointment—even though it was a large cavity. Dr Osama also explained the difference between white and silver fillings, why white filling is better in my case, and the long-term impact it can have. His communication style is very reassuring, and he makes sure you fully understand what’s happening and why. Across both of my sessions, I found him incredibly polite, friendly, and focused on attention to detail. I’ve been with Damira for around eight years, and this is genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had. The quality of care and professionalism Dr Osama provides truly stands out. He absolutely deserves a 10/10 from me, and I highly recommend him.

Me and my daughter recently visited Damira Dental Center in Basingstoke, and I have to say that Dr. Atacan was absolutely incredible. My daughter was quite nervous about her appointment as she’s preparing to get braces soon, but Atacan immediately made her feel at ease. He spoke to her so kindly, explained everything clearly, and turned what could have been a stressful visit into a really fun and relaxed experience. The whole appointment was nothing but a pleasure for my daughter — and that made me really happy as a parent. Atacan is definitely an asset to the clinic and a great credit to the company. The atmosphere was open, friendly, and professional. He’s extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explained the entire braces process in detail. We couldn’t be happier with Dr. Atacan and his assistant — thank you very much for such a positive experience!

I would like to sincerely thank Dr Dimitrios Dimitrakopoulos for his outstanding professionalism and genuine kindness. Dr Dimitrakopoulos truly has golden hands — you immediately feel that you are in safe and experienced hands. He is not only an excellent dentist, but also a wonderful, attentive person who really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him without any hesitation.

I have been to the Damira South Ham Dental Practice a number of times, a couple of which were emergency appointments. The reception staff are brilliant as are the Dental Team. My recent visit was A1 for service from start to finish. My Dentist explained everything brilliantly. Reception staff welcomed me and even highlighted I had overpaid last time so there was some money to come off my current bill. Brilliant all round
