I visited this denta clinic in August as my crown had fallen. They provided me with an appointment almost immediately and helped me out. As I am not a permanent resident of the UK I was really worried how much it would cost for me to take care of myself. The staff ran the extra mile for me and printed all sorts of documents about my case to help me get this cost covered by my insurance provider. At the end everything was fine and I got a full refund. Thanks to everyone, especially the lovely lady at the reception, who I believe was the manager.

I came here in December ‘25 as had been cancelled twice by my previous Dentist to have a tooth removed after an abscess. They gave me an emergency appointment, the Receptionist was amazing, very empathetic and within days I had seen a lovely dentist who removed the said tooth just before Christmas! This is how a Dentist should be and this is where I shall now be going in the future! Could not be more thankful 🙏 fabulous practice!!

Lovely positive experience , I’m usually a nervous patient but was put at ease immediately , saw a lovely dentist and couldn’t have been happier with my treatment.

I’ve been with This dental surgery for nearly 50yrs. Receptionist Lynda was excellent as always whilst booking last week. My new Dentist Ian was amazing he reassured me at all times as I’m a very nervous, scared patient. Very kind man. So I’m very happy with my results Thankyou Ian. His nurse was lovely, kind and helpful too. Nadine and Pip was excellent on reception very kind, helpful and polite. Thankyou to all the staff. See you in all 6months😃

Worst dentist. Refuse to treat me even though I am a registered NHS patient with them and have been my entire life. I'm currently pregnant so entitled to free dental care but apparently they can't see me, they have been "unable to see me" for 6 years. Waited on the phone as "number one in the queue" for over an hour, pretty sure they just refuse to answer the phone. They have the option to leave a message and 'get a call back' and yet never call back, I left several messages for a call back over a year ago and am still waiting. Avoid at all costs!!

Very angry with the dentist at the Old Vicarage Barnstaple surgery. Just over a year ago I phoned to make an appointment, for my husband & myself to have a NHS checkup, which we have had yearly for the last 25-30 years. I was told they were unable to make an appointment as they were only seeing patience who had been unable to see a dentist for 5 year. I have just got in touch again today & have been on the phone for over a hour, started as caller no.3 then when it was caller no.1 for 10mins then the phone cut off. Called right back & was told I was caller no.1 so waited another 20 mins then left a message for a call back. That will be a miracle if they do ring back especially after reading some of the reviews. When I rang over a year ago I was told to ring 111 , they were furious

Absolute joke! I've been on the NHS waiting list for around 6 years so was chuffed to bits when they rang me and booked me in. They then proceeded to change my appointment multiple times but I stuck with it as I knew I needed at least one filling. I finally get there only to be told, I'd been incorrectly booked in at all as they're not taking on any new NHS patients! So clearly one of the receptionists has gone rogue and is phoning people on the waiting list, claiming they're taking on NHS when they aren't. Disgusting service.
