Ashford Dental Care

I visited this practice to enquire about dental hygienist services, but my experience with the reception staff was so poor that I have decided to go elsewhere. As soon as I walked in, I was met with silence. The two receptionists on duty offered no greeting or "how can I help you?" Instead, they simply stared at me with an incredibly unwelcoming attitude until I was forced to initiate the conversation myself. The lack of basic social grace continued as I left; there was no "thank you" or "goodbye." Being made to feel like an "alien" or an inconvenience just for walking through the door is unacceptable in any service-based industry, let alone healthcare. The reception team is the face of your practice, and currently, they are a significant deterrent to new patients. Message to the Practice Manager: Please invest in basic customer service training for your reception staff. A simple "hello" and a professional demeanor are the bare minimum requirements for the roles they are hired to do. I will not be booking an appointment here and would not recommend this practice to others based on this first impression.

I used to visit here and see Roma. Any work she did on my teeth, I had to return for it to be reworked. Every time I visited the images from my previous visit had been misfiled. She was rude to the assistants. One time I comforted the assistant after my treatment as I thought she might cry. One time I was her first appointment of the day, she walked in five minutes after my appointment and started doing paperwork (I suspect private not work) for another 5 minutes whilst I sat and waited to be called. I stopped going as soon as a whole filling fell out within one hour. My new dentist found a drill hole in a healthy tooth which needed immediate attention. He showed me images. It couldn’t have been made any other way than with a dentist drill.

Very professionally run dentists. Staff are friendly and provide good feedback on the condition of my teeth and gums, with suggestion for daily flossing and brushing. Very detailed examination using up to date technology. Probably the best dentists I have been to.

Having not visited a dentist in 5+ years due to fear of the dentist, one of my colleagues recommended Ashford Dental Care to me, after having a consultation I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Patel, he was very reassuring and informative. I then booked in to have some work done for a week or so later and again the experience was smooth and no where near as uncomfortable as I have previously been at a dentist. Everyone that I have dealt with at the clinic was super friendly and helpful. I fully recommend to any nervous patients!

Am extremely positive experience, telephoned with an extremely painful mouth and was seen within 3 hours. The dentist really listened and wanted to help with my issue. She was kind and very warm and friendly in her interaction with me. The receptionist is always friendly and puts you at ease from the moment you enter the practice. Thank you
