Dr M C Omar & Associates Dental Practice

Dr Omar is a friendly, no nonsense dentist. He always makes me feel comfortable and is very professional. I needed an emergency tooth extraction in time for a holiday and he managed to get me booked in despite it being a busy period and carried out the work for me. I’d signed up to the denplan previously which makes my dental care really affordable and takes the panic away for me when problems happen and i need an appointment. I would 100% recommend Dr Omar to any people looking for a top notch dentist in Portsmouth.

Came here today for my first dental appointment in 18 months after struggling to find a dentist. From the start, they were professional, kind and answered any questions. When I called to book an appointment, they explained everything to me, booked me in and took a deposit. I got a tonne of reminders, by phone call, email and text ensuring I couldn't forget the appointment, which was super handy. When I came into the practice, the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. The dentist himself was kind, took his time to explain everything and make me feel comfortable. He answered any and all questions I had and didn't make me feel rushed. I enquired about a dental plan, there were no pushy sales and it was completely my decision to sign up. I felt the Dentist would have been happy regardless of my decision. The dental nurse was also friendly! They booked me in for a cancellation hygienist appointment for a few days time. The practice itself was tidy, clean and smelt nice. Cannot fault them at all!

I have been using this practise for many years and cannot understand how anyone could describe Dr Omar as rude or arrogant. He has always been very polite, friendly, and kind. He has always been patient with our children and they love him. They feel totally at ease anytime they have an appointment with him.

Omar is the friendliest dentist I have met, extremely professionally and genuine. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Omar has managed to fit in my partner in for an emergency chipped tooth twice this year now on the same day.

With this dentist surgery from a child and got on with them really well Then Dr omar toke over and it went down hill from there... My whole family has eventually left and now I have! Very arrogant, rude and dismissive attitude so sarcastic and belittling. Will leave you in pain for months on end if it means being proved wrong as he doesn't like being wrong! Look else where for treatment if your problem is not text book 0% people skill. Even paying through denplan still 4/5 months wait for a Hygienist appointment

Been going to this practice for 25 odd years from a child. Had Dr Ryan until he retired and now see Dr McStay, who has to be one of the nicest and most understanding dentists around. I dread going, and have had quite a lot of work done over the years (large fillings, wisdom and molar extractions etc) and always been fine. Also had horrific pain a little while ago and phoned Denplan at 4am on a Saturday, Dr Omar rang me back 8am (Saturday morning) and I was being seen by him by 9am (opened the surgery for me) - pain killers and anti-biotics prescribed and was back in the following Tuesday for treatment. Great dentists would highly recommend.

I just had my first appointment here, and cannot rave enough about how good the practice is. I've put off going to the Dentist for 6 years, I hate it... BUT was lucky enough to see Dr McStay, who is possibly the nicest health professional I've ever met. He totally put me at ease, and the whole appointment was painless and easy. If you're looking for a dentist, you can't go wrong signing up here.
