Customer Reviews
Palacefields Dental Practice has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on over 16 reviews on Google
My dentist is totally amazing. I was so scared of dentists because of past experiences and had to take calming medication before I went to my appointment. I had to have an extraction and I have very unusual large hooked roots. The tennis made me sorelaxed and constantly asking if I was OK. I have a lot of disabilities which can make laying down difficult but again my dentist was so thoughtfulkind and patient. I went for my second appointment without any calming medication and felt very happy and calm. I would TOTALLY reccomend my dentist and I would like to say thank you so much. If could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you again. Miss C Roberts
The dentist at Palacefields Dental Practice is amazing. So much so that I used to see her at her previous practice in St Helens and as soon as she left, followed her across to Palacefields to continue my dental care with her. She is calm and professional, and provides reassurance and help for fussy patients like me - I really hate X-Ray holders!! Not only does the dentist provide 10/10 care for me, she also provides the same level of care for my young children and my elderly parents. Nobody really likes visiting the dentist but we've always left having had a pleasant and positive experience. Thank you for your continued care, must visit again soon for my routine check up and clean.
Just had a tooth removed and dentist made me feel so relaxed had jokes with me about my Scottish accent done what she could to relax me great dentist

This practice has no awareness of children with SEN needs. Avoid. My children have been registered at Palacefields Dentists since they were babies. We previously received kind, professional care from the previous dentist. Sadly, my daughter's appointment was with a dentist we hadn't met before, and her experience was the complete opposite! The condition of the premises has clearly deteriorated. The windows and blinds are visibly dirty, and the overall environment feels neglected and unprofessional. During the appointment, I disclosed sensitive personal information in confidence, including that my daughter is on a waiting list for an autism assessment following a school referral. Instead of focusing on her toothache and treatment, the dentist chose to criticise my parenting. She repeatedly compared her own parenting to mine and lectured my daughter about what and when she should eat and drink, referencing her own son's routines and eating patterns. Even after I explained my daughter’s difficulties, she continued in the same tone. She dismissed previous professional advice given by the previous dentist to encourage independent brushing and told me that I should still be brushing my 9-year-old’s teeth myself, while rolling her eyes, again referencing her own parenting choices. Her manner was condescending and judgmental. She also spoke very loudly! And within earshot of other patients in reception, one patient asked if I was ok and expressed her own concern and confirmed she heard everything! The practise has a clear lack of discretion and professionalism Most alarming, she referred my daughter for the extraction of all her baby teeth despite the issue being slight decay in one tooth. This recommendation felt excessive and deeply concerning. After this experience, my children will not be returning to this practice, and I would advise any parent with a SEN child to avoid!
I first attended this practice for a check up a few months ago, now I did explain to the receptionist before my appointment just how nervous I am about even visiting the Dentist after having a bad experience at one when I was a boy so she told me that she would refer to there Dentist called Laura as she was especially good with treating nervous patients, however when I arrived for my appointment I had to see another Dentist as Laura had phoned in sick that morning, now the Dentist I seen ( was professional and friendly but sadly lacked a good bedside manour ) told me after a brief check up that I would need to rebook for a further 2 scale and polish treatments which I rather expected, now when I went to pay the bill the receptionist apologised to me for the slight inconvenience of having to see another Dentist and rebooked me in with Laura for my scale & polish treatments and told me that I would be seeing her from now on. Then a few weeks later after visiting this Laura I can honestly say I do not wan't to see anyone else as she is friendly patient caring with an absolute lovelly bedside manour, but what really sets her apart from most Dentists are her exceptional people skills and sense of humour plus the time she was willing to spend with me, so the only thing left I have to say is I can't wait to see her again at the end of the year which is something I never thought I'd say about a Dentist.
