Lochthorn Dental Clinic

I am delighted to have found this practice; in particular Allan who is the best dentist I have ever come across! He takes time to put you at ease and discuss, not just your teeth, but your lifestyle that may impact on what's happening to your teeth. He genuinely cares about his profession and is backed up by charming and professional colleagues. My only concern is that he may leave Dumfries - in which case we will have to also!

I have had the worst phobia of dentist since a traumatic experience at a young age. I joined Locthorn knowing that my teeth needed attention and hoping that, when they seen my fear they would refer me to the dental clinic for sedation. The reception staff were fantastic and straight away I was offered an appointment with Carissa ... who is amazing!! I cried trying to explain why i didn't want treatment and she listened, advised and then offered to just check the damage. Over the course of just 2 months, she has performed a filling, Root treatment, the extraction of my wisdom teeth (all while I was awake!!) and most importantly she has made me feel excited about having good teeth again. Carissa is a natural people person, she has a phenomenal talent and is a credit to this practice. I can't thank her enough.

I joined Lochthorn Dental Practice this week and found them to be very efficient and helpful. Alan took his time and explained everything in detail and then dealt with my problem I am very pleased I changed to Lochthorn for future treatment and would not hesitate to recommend them highly.

Lovely helpful people, Alan went above and beyond for my treatment taking the time to sort out a problem that i had for 6 months and 3 other dentist told me would settle down. And Sarah was great aswell. I would def reccomend to anyone.

Anyone like me who has a serious fear of the dentist should use this dental surgery, from the minute I met Allan and his team I was treated with a high standard of professional care and understanding of my fear. I joined Lochthorn after my local dentist went awol. Allan and Sarah have been marvellous with my wee boy. This is the first practice he has actually sat on the dental chair in his life. I have had to rearrange appointments at short notice due to changes in my work schedule and they have been nothing but accommodating.

An extremely pleasant and pain-free experience. The staff are highly skilled and left me very happy with my teeth. They were also all very friendly and patient - will definitely be going back!
