Ferndale Dental & Implant Clinic

Exceptionally good automated dental examination equipment. Having had experience of a good NHS dentistry in Bath, the privately funded costs are somewhat scary (for crown replacement, in my case). I was given a printed diagram summarising the automatically collected, data that attempted to point to treatment needed in my case. It was not completely clear if this treatment was optional or recommended. The impressive examination output was charged at a reasonable £65, but it had little clarity in terms of importance/optionality. One of the test outputs showed an apparently 'not bad' view of my teeth, but the only indication of 'trouble' was the 'need' for crown(s) replacement with no justification given. Ferndale came across as highly professional and friendly, but I had to clarify that it is privately funded. The cost for crown replacement, in my case, was just over £1000. At this juncture, I will probably seek out an NHS, funded dentistry.

Following a regular check up I needed to have a filling replaced. An appointment was found quickly at a convenient time for me. Reception staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. My dentist has always offered me excellent treatment with clear explanations of options and procedures, ably assisted by her ‘nurses’. The premises are very clean and surgeries mostly light and airy. I would like to pay less for my treatment but then who wouldn’t?

Great dentist practise. Lovely staff that make you feel welcome. Facing South, this dentist building has nice sunny rooms that make you feel good whilst waiting. Of course, I have the best dentist in the building, great guy with a caring attitude. Having changed my denist practise over a year ago, I feel I have made a good move. Very happy.

I highly recommend Ferndale. For someone like me, who is scared stiff of the dentist, having to go, even for check up is terrifying. I have not had a dentist since covid so I was dreading going to the hygienist. There were no nhs dentists taking on patients so I had no option but to go private. I'm pleased to say I had a positive experience with the dentist Aneta and hygienist Phil. They were both great and reasured me throughout. I have joined their monthly plan to make it more affordable.

The whole practice and all the staff at Ferndale are great, but this is a review particlularly for the hygienist Philip. Not only is the new water pump cleaning system (sorry if that's not the right term!) infinitely more comfortable than any other I've ever had, but Philip himself is a really great hygienist and general nice guy. I was relaxed the whole time and extremely pleased with the results. Come here if you don't want to dread your hygiene appointments in future!

Very surprised at the end of my clean to fine it had jumped up in price from £95 to £120. How do you justify this. Yes a fiver but not £25. I think you are taking the micky here.

Fantastic experience at Ferndale. I was not looking forward to having a filling in my back tooth. Surprisingly, the whole procedure was pain free and the dentist Hayley was a very calming influence.
