Emergency same day appointment I had toothache, lovely people squeezed me in There was too big a cavity to save the tooth. I was terrified but they were so lovely and the young man managed to get a large tooth out without any problem I hate the dentist and even though it cost a fortune I will go back and get an implant

I was a regular at this dentist when it was Fresh Smile. Now it's changed to Portman Dentist, it is appalling. Firstly, it closed without warning in July last year, leading to us having to find an emergency dentist for my wife to have her wisdom teeth extracted. Secondly, on our last visit to Fresh, we booked our annual routine checkup. This has now been cancelled 3 times, and mine has been moved back by a further 2 months. Thirdly, I have a filling which has come out and needs refilling. I have tried to tell them this, but cannot get through to them at all, no replies to emails, and never answering the phone. I am considering moving to the new dentist who has opened on Great North Way.

I had an issue with my broken retainer wire that was causing constant discomfort while eating or speaking. After searching many clinics, Fresh Dental Smile was the first to offer me a fast appointment—without any extra booking fees! Dr. Jenny Kabir was incredibly kind and professional. She fixed my wire perfectly, gave me helpful advice, and even offered a 10% discount. Everyone at the clinic, from the reception to the staff, was warm and welcoming. This practice used to be excellent when it was Fresh Dental whom I was a private patient for several years. However in June 2025 my appointment was suddenly cancelled via a voicemail message briefly explaining that the practice is temporarily closing and they would be in touch. By October 2025 I still have not received an update about what has happened and what the plan is to reschedule appointments. I found out through another dental practice that PortmanDentex had acquired Fresh Dental. It's been very poor how they've handled communicating this whole process to its patients. So much for their level of service, patient happiness and care!

I went to Jenny and the team when my daughter was 13 because my daughter’s teeth were very crooked and she was very conscious of them. 18 months later after having fixed braces on both sets of teeth my daughters smile was perfect!! I was so impressed I went back and asked Jenny what she could do to improve my crooked upper and lower teeth (which were also a bit yellow) . Another 18 months later, after fixed upper and lower braces and teeth whitening, I also have a perfect smile!! Jenny and the team are so friendly, professional and efficient and always willing to be flexible with appointments. After so many years of smiling with my mouth closed, I am now showing off my smile makeover at every opportunity!! Can’t recommend highly enough!!

I recently underwent orthodontic work at Fresh Dental Smile Clinic. I have been unhappy and conscious about my two front teeth since I was a child as they overlapped the teeth behind and stuck out. I am face to face with audiences large and small in my work, sometimes on-line but mostly 'live'. I try to present myself as professionally as possible in every way, and breaking a front tooth while outside UK was both unsightly and confidence-draining. As someone who had unfortunate experiences with a school dentist, I have been reluctant to be treated pro-actively, but this was something that needed urgent treatment. I knew of Jenny's reputation as a highly skilled dentist and booked in for a course of treatment that included teeth whitening and orthodontic work that would combine to give me a smile makeover. It was one of the best decisions I have made. Jenny and the whole team made me feel welcome and special. The initial consultation was thorough, and the proposed course of treatment was explained in detail, with timelines and costs set out so that I could plan my work accordingly. Apart from the excellent treatment I was given, led by Jenny, two other things impressed me greatly. Firstly, how well her whole team worked together, from the receptionist to the hygienist, the dental nurse and the technician. A wonderful group who together helped me to overcome my anxiety. Secondly, I thought their communication with me was really good throughout, in terms of explaining what would take place in a session and even during treatment. After the course of treatment, over several sessions, Jenny showed me the before and after photos of my teeth and the transformation was remarkable. I left the clinic with a real spring in my step and a big smile on my face.
