Monkgate Health Centre Dental Department

I have been trying to cancel an appointment for Tomorrow as I am not very well but the phone just rings for ages then goes dead, it have tried and tried with no response, you would think if there is nobody there they would at least put the phone on to answering machine so at Least you could leave a message I just want to say to my dentist Chris it's not my fault my appointment has not been cancelled I tried sorry Sara x

Struggling to contact anyone about an appointment. Can't find an email or alternative contact.

Bunch of dogheads! Kids Had various appointments booked but cancelled BY THEM at very short notice and causing us to miss work Just had a call after the last FOUR appointments were cancelled by someone who wanted to know if the appointment was still required they were argumentative and uncooperative and didnt even re book it No need for the attitude - they wouldnt talk to you like that if you were stood in front of them or would they?? I dread to think If there was an alternative we would use it

My partner rang them up due to being in alot of pain they told him they couldnt see him because of where we live which is a load of bull as he works in york also he went this morning and they ask him to ring to make an appointment because it is not a walk in clinc even though he already rang them and the nhs direct line. Very up setting how they can just turn people down when they are in needed !!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would what an absolute nightmare it’s been my poor little girl has had appointments cancelled left right and center !! Even when we have got there to be told that the dentist is not there twice because of a annual leave!!! Absolutely fuming they say they leave voicemails they never do haven't had any missed calls. she had bands put between her teeth for a maximum of a week then they called and cancelled her appointment and said they wouldnt be able to take them out until 4 weeks time!!! Disgusting I honestly don’t think any of them have a clue what’s going on stay away.

I visited this dentist today. I admit it took a few phone calls and I eventually left a voicemail. The receptionist called me back extremely promptly (within the hour) and made me a same day appointment. The dentist and the nurse were both phenomenal they were warm and friendly and their joky light friendly attitude helped to make me feel calm. They did everything they could and explained every single option available and allowed me to make my own informed decisions. They offer an absolutely amazing service and should be commended. I would like to add a personal note in case the dentist who looked after me ever looks at this, as much as you said the temporary filling wouldn't win filling of the year it look great to me and I feel no pain for the first time in a week and I am looking forward to a long deep and utterly painless sleep tonight and I would like to thank you. I hope the final step of having the tooth removed is soon. But as for your service I'm utterly impressed and it was an absolute pleasure to have you treat me. When rang, someone called Natalie was unhelpful and not pleasant to talk. For a public service they should be more polite. Disappointed!
