Hopkins & Poyner Dental Practice

I recently had a consultation with Dr Vaishnavi at Hopkins & Poyner Dental Practice, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment I arrived, she was professional, kind, and incredibly reassuring. Dr Vaishnavi took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure I fully understood my dental health and the treatment options available. As someone who feels quite anxious about dental visits, I truly appreciated how attentive she was to this, she created a calm and comfortable environment and helped put me at ease throughout the entire appointment. Following my consultation, I now have a clear treatment plan in place and future appointments booked, which has given me a real sense of confidence and reassurance about my dental care going forward. A huge thank you to Dr Vaishnavi for her support, patience, and professionalism. It has made a lasting impression, and I feel much more positive about my dental health as a result.

I was in York as a tourist and had a dental emergency. Out of the 6 dental clinics I called (who shall not be named) they were the only ones who got me an appointment on the same day. The doctor was great and fixed everything up quickly. Highly recommend.

I am sure the place is great but unfortunately for me I had a bad experience, probably just a coincidence. I called in to book an appointment and the receptionist told me that she needs to speak to the practice manager to book me for an appointment and she will call me later, 6 hours later I receive a call from them with the phone ringing for a second or less then they hang up. So I phoned them back and I find it weird that the receptionst picks up straight with "Hi Sami". I phone the next day with a query about the appointment and I have been kept first in the queue for the 20minutes until the call automatically shuts off. I am sure if I had met the team they would have appeared to be a lot nicer, but I chose to cancel and booked with a different practice.

Very disappointed with the reception at this practice. I tried to book an emergency appointment recently, and spent nearly an hour trying to get through on the phone, even though the answer machine was saying I was number one in the queue. Eventually I got cut off completely. Why can’t they answer the phones ? I also left an email to which no one replied. No apology or anything ! The customer service has gone right down hill since Mr Hopkins left, and is now even worse with the departure of Victoria Poyner. I would advise anyone registering with this dentist to think twice.

Extremely good dentist with great attention to detail. Courtney the dental nurse was extremely helpful very welcoming made me feel at ease many thanks to both dentist and dental nurse.
