Hoylake Dental Practice

I unfortunately had to have a molar extraction today following treatment for an infection. The antibiotics prescribed sorted me out a treat and I was able to go away on holiday with the extraction due on my return . Throughout the procedure I was well taken care of and everything was explained as we proceeded. Lots of opportunities to rest in between each step . It went perfectly and came out without a problem. Hopefully I won’t need another extraction but if I do I have every confidence that everything will be okay . Which when you go to the dentist is what you hope for. Thank you once again to all the staff involved and the rest of the team

I have been a patient of this practice for a very long time. Although now changed hands. Just had a consultation with Mrs Ranu Jalan (dentist)as I have been having some discomfort in one of my teeth. After a thorough investigation, and just as important discussing her findings, offering a couple of solutions based on those findings it was agreed to remove the tooth. The removal process was undertaken with care and professional knowledge both with the removal and aftercare. This resulted in a very painless extraction (honestly hardly felt anything). Thank you to Mrs Jalan and her team who together made my visit a pleasure. ( yes, it was).

I have recently visited this practice and I was really happy with the service I was provided with. The whole practice is calm and if your someone that worries about going to the dentist this will settle you I promise! I saw the new dentist who is fabulous and she has given me a great course of action for my treatment. I’m going back in 2 weeks and will definitely be recommending this practice! I visited the practice for the first time in 5 yrs. Mrs Jalan was amazing. The way she interacted and explained things was very reassuring. I would also like to give a 5 star to the reception team which was very friendly and welcoming. It was a great first experience.

Absolutely brilliant! I have sensitive/ inflamed gums so a visit to the hygienist is seriously terrifying. M. was adept careful and reassuring and didn’t cause me any pain. I’ve had many positive visits to Hoylake Dental Practice ,the staff are always welcoming and professional. The practice is well maintained and very comfortable, which immediately put me at ease. Ranu was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything, answering all of my questions with patience and care. The treatment itself was painless, and I left feeling confident in the care I received. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist. NHS practices are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain due to high demand and hoylake dental practice in my experience has always managed to maintain an excellent level of service.

Dr Patel was an exceptional dentist and is very missed. I have had very poor experiences with Jalan, the new dentist, including dropping instruments in my mouth which broke my tooth, very poor and rude communication and a complete cold indifference when it comes to NHS patients seeking help. There has been an enormous turnover of staff and the practice looks shabby and uncared for. There was dog crap caked into the waiting room carpet when I arrived last time. I now currently have had a serious infection in my tooth and apparently have had one for several years because the dentist who runs this practice thought briefly tapping my sore tooth with a non descript tool and charging me £40 before sending my on my way was enough. An X-ray would have been simple and quick diagnostic method and now I'm facing an extraction due to the extent of the infection a year later. I paid £40 for an appointment that lasted less than 60 seconds. This is sheer incompetence and I'll be raising a complaint with the relevant regulator and seeking legal advice on the grounds of this neglect. I am so glad I no longer have to use this absolute pit of a dentist and it's a constant comfort to now be registered elsewhere.
